Air-conditioning is a welcome touch too, especially for rural France. Service is handled by the host, Cécile, and it works because she strikes the balance perfectly—helpful, warm, and never intrusive. Breakfast skips the buffet routine and focuses on quality: fresh bakery items, homemade jams, and a personal feel. There’s no public bar, but you don’t miss it. Your terrace and living space become your private lounge—Champagne in complete peace beats a crowded lobby every time. Perfect for guests who want autonomy, quiet, and high standards—an “anti-hotel” in the best possible sense.

The location for anyone traveling through France especially if you your are a petrol head planning to stop off at the Circuit de Reims-Gueux. The place is absolutely beautifully fitted out facilities and attention to detail was at a level you would not expect in a 5* hotel. An amazing little stop over and services and facilities available on request were just great. We will 100% stop over again.

“Exceptional”

This was a great find, felt more like an Airbnb, but VERY clean, brand new in fact. Well kitted out, a large bath-spa which we took advantage of after a long hot day. Kitchen has a coffee machine and all the usual things, decent Air-Con. Slip-on/FlipFlops provided (to protect their new floor) and with a robes too. Bed was comfortable, bedroom also had Air-Con which on a hot night was perfect! There's little in Gueux itself like restaurants (we found 1, but was closed) thankfully we found a really nice pâtisserie (ideal for grabbing our late lunch) and some larger shops about 10 minutes walk away via a lovely part of the town. We bought some bits and cooked for ourselves as the kitchen had everything. Instructions from host were excellent. Great location if you're into F1 with an old track at towards Reims which we also found interesting.
