Overview
Akelarre Ostatua’s rooftop sun terrace offers wonderful views of Guernica and the nearby Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. This guest house offers a 24-hour rfront desk and colourful rooms with free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Akelarre Ostatua is located on a quiet street, just 50 metres from Guernica Town Hall and the Peace Museum. Guernica Train Station is within a 2-minute walk, and offers regular services to nearby Bilbao. The guest house has an automatic reception. Drinks and snacks are available from vending machines in the lounge. There are also various tapas bars in the town centre. Each room has simple, bright décor and wooden floors. They all have a private bathroom with toiletries. Rooms have views of the historic town centre.

“Comfy and quiet”
Great central location and very comfortable and clean. As i was leaving i saw the housekeeping staff moving beds to clean floors thoroughly and wiping door handles. There is a shared kitchen on the top floor with a good sized terrace that gets the afternoon sun and great views across the rooftops to the mountains.

Excellent central location, near bus and train station and main attractions. Although we didn't use it, a big shared kitchen /diner suitable for groups on to large terrace with views of city and hills.

The online registration worked well. The shared kitchen / living room with balconies was a huge plus, and we were able to self- cater our dinner and breakfast. The location in the attractive old town worked well.

great location, central in Gernika. A great place to stay with pintxo bars downstairs, comfortable bed which was appreciated after a long day hiking on the camino del norte.

The check in process and staff who managed it were very friendly and patient. As other reviews note, it is in a very central location which was very handy.
