“Charming, different, relaxed stay in a vintage timber lodge”
Al, the hotelier, was very charming and good to chat with. The lodge doesn't do breakfast or meals but has a well-equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, bread, bacon, milk, provided. A very relaxed vibe. The garden is lovely. Big grassy area with volleyball net, space to frisbee, a deck by the river for swimming or boating.

the deck and the field were great to catch some rays of sunshine. Al, the owner was very nice. he keeps the kitchen stocked for general use so we could make our own breakfast from everything he had in the kitchen. there were eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, coffee, jus, bread.

great location and I liked the downstairs lounge area. Dorothy the receptionist and caretaker was brilliant and she made a great breakfast.
