“A lovely corner of paradise near Gubbio ❤️”

Not enough words to describe our wonderful week at Lo Smarrino, beautifully hidden in the green. Great view at the “estate” with two horses that are lovingly cared for. Lovely and clean swimming pool with comfortable beds. Every day a delicious breakfast at the terrace with yoghurt, fresh fruit and freshly baked cake. And then Silvia and Enrico… What a special and sweet host and hostess. After working very hard in the fashion industry and having traveled a lot, they have made Lo Smarrino an incredibly beautiful place to stay. They spoil their guests and have a good sense of when and how they are present. And the two dogs, Aron and Margot… We llked them so much. We would love to come back and secretly hope that not too many people read this 😉. Silva and Enrico, thank you again for the wonderful week we had with you. “Beautiful place in the middle of nature, with animals, great hosts”

We have just returned from our short week stay at Lo Smarrino and we are already missing it. Because of work and other obligations, it is often difficult to find a way to be present in the moment. Lo Smarrino is a place that makes you forget everything and just be there.. in that moment, enjoying the beautiful environment, the lovely animals and owners, as soon as you enter their gate. Every morning we had a lovely, self made breakfast (and amazing cake). Got a lot of tips for things to do in the area or cities to visit. When we came back, my headspace went back to 0 into relaxation mode. The place is hidden in nature, taken very good care of, filled with animals and bird sounds. We did a truffle hunting tour with Fabio and his dog, Roy. And even though the truffle hunting season just started and the chance of finding any truffles was really small (we did though!), the walk itself over the mountains and trees was just as great! Besides that, we had a great workshop to learn more about connecting with horses. The room was big and very clean. I can keep rambling about how great it was over and over again. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for making us stay at your beautiful oasis of love and peace, Silvia and Enrico. Thank you for all the love and cuteness, Biscotto, Aaron, Margot, Indigo, Sultao and chickens.

“A really beautiful place to stay with excellent hosts, who made every effort to ensure we had a good time.”

The accommodation is located in the most beautiful setting. Lovely gardens, beautiful scenery and very quiet. The rooms were large with facilities to prepare food and several places to sit outside. All of this made our stay very comfortable. Silvia and Enrico were so welcoming and helpful, they produced a great breakfast and gave us great advice regarding activities in the area.

We had a truly wonderful 5-night stay at Lo Smarrino Agriturismo, just outside the beautiful town of Gubbio in Umbria. We stayed as two couples and absolutely loved this peaceful, secluded farmhouse, accessible by a single dirt road — a very special place that feels like a hidden gem. The hosts, Silvia and her husband Enrico, speak excellent English, which made communication easy and enjoyable. They are warm, open, and have a fantastic sense of humor — it was a real pleasure to chat and joke with them, and we learned a lot about their life in Umbria and how they came to this beautiful place. The house and grounds are immaculate — everything is beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail in every stone and blade of grass. The rooms are spotless, the bathrooms are modern and well-equipped, and the breakfast each morning was delicious and varied. The location is ideal: quiet and private, yet just a short drive to Gubbio and close to main roads for exploring the region. On the farm, you’ll find two friendly horses, two dogs, and a cat — all lovely and well-behaved. Above all, the warmth, hospitality, and good humor of the hosts made our stay unforgettable. This place truly deserves a 10/10 rating.

“Looking for paradise.... Go here!!”

We felt like landing in paradise!! Such a stunning location. The only thing you now and then hear is birds and horses !! And then the hosts Silvia and Enrico, they know how to let you feel welcome!! They created this wonderful to stay, are taking care of a great, fresh breakfast every day and do have some things like local wines and beers to buy. The rooms are great, the swimmingpool very nice refreshing...well what do I need to add...nothing! Do not hesitate and go there!! We spread the word already!!

When de-stressing, getting-back-to-basics, serene-relaxation and mind-cleaning are the values that define your holiday, you're in for a treat! This Agritourism resonates that and more. When you drive-up the pathway, the world immediately starts to silence. Nature becomes the default again. The dogs, horses, cat, chickens, and all other animals are defining time and pace. When sitting outside on the terrace, and darkness sets in, you hear nature come to life. A beautiful location, nestled in a valley flanked by forest and pasture. The gentle river, flowing nearby , combines wonderfully with the abundant birdsong to create a sense of peace and tranquillity. Enrico and Sylvia are fabulous hosts, along with their wonderful menangerie of animals! Friendly, attentative, and keen to ensure the best possible experiences for their guests. The property is just a short drive from Gubbio, making it a great base from which to explore the region. The rooms are beautifully appointed and include everything needed for a restful stay.
