Hotel 1988 Guanajuato is located a 15 minutes’ walk from Guanajuato’s University and Guanajuato´s Downtown, the Unión Park and the city’s basilica. “Go somewhere else.”
We do not recommend! The bed linen and towels are old and dirty and do smell bad. The plastic bed covers are uncomfortable and make the nights hot. The breakfast is not tasty, the coffee bitter. There is no elevator making the hotel a no-go for people with walking disability. The dishes are of plastic and stained. The receptionis is unfriendly and not service oriented. However, this is her job.

Hotel has great value for the money we paid. The pool was clean and the water in jacuzzi was hot, room was also clean. The view is great, it's a bit challenging to walk there but ubers from the center are very cheap. Room was cleaned every day.

“This hotel offers beautiful views of the city and lovely staff for physically mobile visitors”
It was a beautiful location, an 18-minute walk from the historic center, although as it’s perched up on a hill, the walk back to the hotel was steep. I adored all of the staff and they were immediate in their response to any issue. I’ve never felt this kind of care when staying at previous hotels.

We enjoyed the facilities and the general atmosphere at the hotel. The waiter at the restaurant was super kind. The view from the restaurant and the pool was amazing.

“Magnificent view!”
The biggest perk of this hotel is the amazing view of the city! We had some nice chilling time in the jacuzzi while enjoying the view. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It is a bit outside of the center but for us it was an easy walk.

This hotel offers a magnifienct view over the city of Guanajuato, a beautiful pool area, a lovely breakfast/restaurant area. Some of the restaurant food was good, but not all. The room was big enough with a good options for clothes storage.
