“Beautiful accomodation in central location.”

There is a friendly person (Paulina) to greet you and show you around the accomodation and can help with any questions or issues-who lives onsite, beautiful accomodation, large rooms, large comfortable bed, great view from the terrace, provide drinking water & tea & coffee, good hot water in bathroom- but you have to wait many minutes for it to get hot & while waiting you can collect the cold water in a bucket to use on plants in common area, central location but up a hill (like most places in Guanajuato).

So far throughout my travels in Mexico this has been my favourite place to stay. The building itself is full of character, including the room. Very detailed with lots of Mexican art work. The room itself was quite spacious and bed very comfortable with lots of pillows. Paulina is lovely and very helpful with local information. I loved it so much (& Guanajuato itself) that I extended my stay by a few nights.

The decoration is amazing，all the flowers are beautiful, the terrace is so comfortable although we didn't spend too many time on it. Our room is spacious enough. Paulina introduce the whole building to us, she is very friendly. Although we don't speak spanish, we still communicate very well with the help of gogle translate.

The room was large and comfortable with a king size bed. I appreciated having access to a small fridge. The host was courteous and helpful. The location was fabulous. About a 10 minute walk to Centro but steep hill on the way back.

Casa Azul is a treasure. Up a steep alley (of course, it's Guanajuato!) ... it is lovely and intimate, with art and antiques and so many plants, like a botanical garden. The courtyard with fountain, rooftop patio, and common spaces are lovely. My little single room was cozy and quiet. Pauline and the staff are so kind and attentive, and I appreciate that they encourage guests to conserve water and respect the environment. I liked it so much I checked in twice in one week :)

This is an enchanting old house in a fascinating city. Built around a plant-filled courtyard with a fountain and even a tiny chapel! It has a lovely terrace overlooking the city. Paulina was helpful and welcoming, gave us a good recommendation for dinner, and called us a taxi when we left.

Our stay at Casa Azul in Guanajuato was simply fantastic. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with a balcony, which was not only beautifully designed but also equipped with all the amenities: a private bathroom with WC, a small refrigerator that worked perfectly, and a huge, incredibly comfortable bed. Everything worked flawlessly and left nothing to be desired. Casa Azul also impressed us with its charming courtyard full of plants and a bubbling fountain – a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. There was a small shared kitchenette with hot and cold water, as well as coffee. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace, where we spent relaxed moments both in the morning and evening. The location of the accommodation is ideal – very central, allowing us to walk to all the important sights. The security system at the front door is exceptionally good, giving us an extra sense of safety. The Wi-Fi also worked perfectly, both in our room and in the common areas. The host was extremely kind and friendly. She took the time to explain everything in detail, making us feel welcome from the very first moment. We especially want to highlight her efforts towards sustainability: she paid attention to responsible water usage and, for example, provided us with a bucket to collect water while it heated up. We highly recommend Casa Azul. It was a wonderful experience, and we would have loved to stay longer! If you’re looking for a place in Guanajuato where you can feel completely at ease, this is the one!

This place was such a delight. My favorite part was the charming old house, so full of character! The host was lovely, kind, and helpful. The location is great, just a two minute walk down to one of the main plazas. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended for four more nights.

The location was excellent. It was like staying in a museum. Stayed 3 nights and always started the day with watching humming birds on the roof top and also would come back in the afternoon, have a short sleep, did the bird watching again and go out again in the evening.
