“So much more than a guesthouse! Must visit if you’re in Ecuador!”

This guesthouse is owned by the Inti Sisa foundation and run by the local community (mostly women!). Not only did we learn all about the projects the Foundation runs for vulnerable children and women, we also truly immersed in the culture and had an amazing time in a very clean, comfortable guesthouse with a nice big breakfast and dinner (great beds too btw). This is a must-visit in Ecuador to meet the locals and understand the country you’re visiting so much better. You can do hiking tours & cultural trips into the Andes. It’s the perfect win-win of a great stay where your money goes straight to those who need it most.

One of the few hotels in Guamote. Cozy hotel, nicely decorated, supports schools for locals. Super hospitable staff. Rooms are basic and on the fresh side, frugal breakfast, nice dinner.

Everything! The location, the building, the room, the decorations in the building, the place itself is gorgeous! The staff is so friendly, kind and very professional! I've traveled to nearly 100 countries around the world and this is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! It's been a wonderful experience!

De story behind this guesthouse is absolutely worth going here. We loved our stay and the interaction with the neighbour children was one of a kind. The Thursday market was also an amazing experience! The beds are very comfortable, the location is great and the staff is very friendly.

We arrived at Inti Sisa during the height of the Paro Nacional 2022, so we found ourselves stuck in the village without access to fuel for 6 days. During that time Sarah and Byron were so incredibly generous in making sure we had plenty of food, water and everything else we needed while all of the local shops and services were closed. So while it wasn't a typical visit to Inti Sisa, it's one that will live long in the memory for the warmth, hospitality and kindness that was shown to us during our time. Great place, wonderful people and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
