Everything! The house felt like a beautiful countryside cottage full of character — every corner had a story, filled with antiques and warmth. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we had all the privacy we needed, while still feeling part of a welcoming home. It didn’t feel like staying at a hotel, but like being hosted by a dear friend. Maica was wonderful — kind, helpful and genuinely caring. We had amazing conversations, he made us delicious breakfasts every morning, and he even supported me with my dance competition in Ferrara. It wasn’t just a stay — it was an experience that touched our hearts.

We felt welcome from the moment we entered the gates. Cold drinks, homemade popsicle ice for the kids and freshly picked figs from his own tree. Michele is a wonderful host, speaks perfect English and very playful with the kids. The breakfast, in his private dinning next to the open kitchen, is adjusted to your preference and no request is too much. Everything is homemade and prepared with love. The accommodation itself is large and well maintained. There are mosquito nets for the windows and AC for the hot summer days. The paintings on the wall can be taken down if the kids (like ours) find them a bit scary. :) While Gualdo might seem like a quiet town, Michele knows a lot of nice places in the nearby area to explore; bakery’s, restaurants and beaches. No question or request is too much. Overall we highly recommend this place!

“Amazing villa in the Italian countryside”

I was just looking for a place to spend the night and somehow found this gem in the countryside outside of Ferrara. This is an old beautiful house with a dream garden, amazing rooms, you have everything you need. The owner is a very nice man who speaks good English and prepared us breakfast. For dinner, he made us reservations for a place nearby that had amazing food and good service. I wish I could have stayed longer :)

Nice interior, rooms and bathroom is big, comfy.

Michele run a boutique B&B on his own, it has an exotic feel with a lot of elements from the fast east, he is previously a traveller but now a big chef in the casa, l was so amazed by his cooking skills. He speaks fluent English and we have a wonderful chat with a glass of Trento. There is a gas station with good price right opposite to the house.

I absolutely loved everything about this place. You truly have a feeling you are staying in someone's home, not just a place with a room. Michelle is not only a great host but also a wonderful human being.

We are very lucky that we got to visit Michel. It was a great luck. We felt like we were visiting old friends. Beautiful old Italian house with old garden and very friendly host. Breakfast in the morning was in special romantic atmosphere of the house. Michel's pizza in the evening was the best pizza we've ever had. And a very good location - real Italy. By car, on Michel’s advice, we went not only to Bologna, but also to Comaсchio - little Venice, and to the beach, and to the very medieval Ferrara. In Bologna you can walk around the city. Delicious Italian food in restaurants and shops. It was a discovery that Emilia Romagna is so rich and so beautiful. We highly recommend and hope to come again. Thank you very much, Michelle

Owner wad very friendly and helpful. Place has nice atmosphere, well equiped and morning breakfast was delicious.
