“A great Cuevas experience. Staff were very friendly.”
We wanted to stay in a Cuevas and this was what we got. It was a lovely apartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and bathroom and lounge room. It also had a lovely outdoor area. What a great place to stay. It was on the outskirts of Guadix however it had to be to be a Cuevas.

“Absolutely fabulous and different!”
We enjoyed everything about this place, from the accommodation, which was so authentic, location, looking to the snow capped mountains, to the meals. We had a superb evening meal here, veal steak which was delicious. For breakfast we had French omelettes with cheese and tomatoes with toast. All reasonably priced too. The young lady who dealt with us throughout our stay spoke not a word of English but was so helpful and friendly, she was an absolute gem. I would recommend this cave hotel to anyone for something very different!!

“Great location, shame about the maintenance”
Good restaurant on site. Pleasant, but poorly maintained pool. Staying in a cave house is a great experience

This is a quirky and unique cave house located in a small complex of similar residences. It is cool and spacious inside with two bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge and large bathroom. The restaurant is one minute walk away and serves excellent food.

“Brilliant”
I read all the reviews and was unsure what we would find. Locating the place was easy using Google maps. The noise from the motorway is minimum and I didn't even notice it. We picked up the keys from the restaurant as reception was shut. The girl was very friendly and helpful. Our cave house (no 18) was right at the top. I had read it was up a very steep road but again it wasn't too bad, you can always park at the bottom. People with mobility problems would find no 18 very hard to walk to. The cave house was 1 bedroom but it was a good size, the bedroom and bathroom were both large, it was cool and clean. No kettle or toaster but a microwave and fridge freezer. There are 2 restaurants, 1 is on site where you pick your keys up from, didn't order any food as you get tapas with every drink. The tapas were massive portions and delicious. The service was friendly and I would definitely recommend. This restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the cave house. The 2nd restaurant is not part of the complex but you drive past it on the way in, it's called la Tinaja, again this is a superb place, we had a few drinks here and the tapas were just as good. The area of the complex is well lit. I didn't go to the swimming pool but there seems to be a smaller one too. I would definitely recommend this place, we only stayed 1 night but we could have stayed longer

“Authentic experience”
Authentic cave house with a traditional Spanish interior. They have a pool too in the summer (we didn't use it as it was still closed during spring). You can park your car right in front of your cave.

The uniqueness of the property, the rooms, decor, everything, even the onsite restaurant. Little stroll into the town, but such a joy to stay.
