“Pleasant location on the edge of Gstaad, and good but very small room”

The host is a very approachable and friendly guy though we did have some difficulty communicating - English is not his strong point and German is not mine! We muddled through :-) My flight was delayed and he kindly allowed me to turn up at 10.20pm which I felt was above and beyond expectations. Parking is easy right next to the chalet. Accommodation was in a newer chalet style building next to the old farmhouse. My room was ground floor with a single bed and another on a mezzanine though no ladder was provided to allow me to access this. The room was really very tiny indeed, but nice alpine style, and in my opinion really only suitable for a single traveler. The ensuite shower and toilet would not be private if sharing the room. A fridge and cupboard the hallway sold a wide range of drinks and snacks. Kettle, plates, cups, glasses, knife and fork provided in the room. The chalet is located on the very edge of Gstaad, surrounded by fields and old barns and farmhouses and near to a couple of small newish apartment buildings. It is just about walking distance of the town, though quite a long walk, and steep too. Good to hear the cow bells though being next to fields. There is some outside seating and a firepit which would be good on a sunny evening. I don’t know whether wood could be provided.

The room was really nice, the bed was so comfortable, there was loads of info in the book. Food delivery is kind of the only option without a car unless you fancy walking up a large hill after dinner, but there are some good options online and GoGstaad does work quite well, and the food is relatively cheap for Switzerland, it was about 30CHF for a margherita pizza and delivery. The B&B was above Gstaad but it's in a really nice place, loads of snow everywhere when I went in December and incredible views. The host was really lovely, didn't seem to be proficient in English but I understood enough to know what he was talking about. The price is unbeatable.

Second time staying in this beautiful and perfect place!

Such a lovely apartment. Very clean and modern with everything we needed. Perfect having a fridge, oven and cook top. Owner were lovely and let us use their washing machine which we are very grateful for after hiking in the rain! There are a number of drinks and snacks available to purchase outside the apartment door. Although we didn’t use anything I thought it was a lovely idea. Comfy beds! Our favourite place to stay so far:)

“A 10/10 stay with breathtaking views”

A quiet and peaceful place with absolute stunning views. The owners were a delight to talk to. Very friendly people. The room was very well managed along with all accessories such as cutlery, refrigerator, oven etc.which were absolutely free to use. Overall a solid 10 on hospitality. Would definitely recommend.

The host was friendly. The property was comfortable. and within walking distance to the village. Good value for money! I will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Wonderful location, just outside the town, in calm surroundings, with spectacular 360deg views. The host is wonderful, warm and welcoming. Table and chairs outside to enjoy the,surroundings.

“Pretty perfect”

The authenticity of this chalet was amazing. It’s was warm and cosy and had amazing views; I was lucky enough to watch the sunrise above the mountains and it was magical! I didn’t bring the correct plug adaptor or phone charger but the hosts were so accommodating they were able to provide both. One night wasn’t long enough.
