The guesthouse is conveniently located on the town's main street. The check-in instructions were clear, and it was easy to find everything even though no staff members were present. There was a well-organised shared kitchen and dining space available. At first, I wasn't excited that we were assigned a room in the basement, but it was light, warm, and very clean. Overall, the accommodation is simple, but comfortable enough for a short stay.

The room as well as the public areas such as kitchen, dining area and toilets were spotlessly clean. The room was snug but completely sufficient for our needs and it had a great shower as well as a toilet and handwash basin in the room. We didn't really see anyone apart from when we got the key, so can't really comment on staff, other than that the first impression was very friendly.

We had a nice stay at The Old Post Office Guesthouse. It’s located very centrally which made our stopover in Grundarfjörður very easy. Our room even had views of Kirkjufell in the distance. While there were no staff at reception, they made it easy for us to access and locate our room.

The location was excellent — very central and within walking distance to everything we needed. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and even though the hotel was fairly busy, it remained peaceful and quiet throughout the night. We really appreciated how restful our stay was. Another bonus was the free parking, which made things even more convenient for us. Overall, a great stay with a cozy, calm atmosphere and a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend!

Stunning views of Kirkjufell, spacious room and free parking outside. Shared kitchen has plenty of room for multiple people to use at once and has all the basics including coffee. Appreciated the honesty fridge that was well stocked with drinks and snacks.
