Located on a lake in the heart of Friesland, this hotel features a spacious waterfront terrace and private berths for boats. Hotel Oostergoo is located in Grou between Heerenveen and Leeuwarden, surrounded by countryside. Breakfast can be taken in the room, and special dietary requirements can be met on request. The Thialf skating stadium is 25 minutes away by car. The Alde Feanen National Park and the Frisian Lakes are directly accessible by boat from Grou.

“A perfect place to stay in Friesland.”
We had a wonderful weekend stay. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional, the room was beautiful with a great view over the water, and the food was plentiful and very delicious. Grou is a lovely little place with lots to do and great walks. The hotel is right on the habour. It has been beautifully renovated and has a very interesting history.

Breakfast was enough. The personnel were really friendly and they had smiling faces all the time. They gave a small form to check what we wish to eat. It was a nice thought not to waste food. The food, fruit were fresh. The view was amazing. The surrounding was silent and peaceful. The rooms were spacy and bathroom was alright. However, we could hear other people talking while resting in the room. We like the view, surrounding, the beds, personnel behaviour. There were enough parking spaces around the hotel.

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel, decorated with care. Big clean room, perfect breakfast. Nice staff. Grou is wonderful place to visit and so is the Alde Feanen National Park.

Really good location as can be seen on the photos. Room was a good size, very clean and quiet. Breakfast was amazing as was the staff. Close to other bars and restaurants. The dinner in the hotel was excellent. Would go again.
