A completely unique experience, characterful rooms and setting in beautiful location - M. de Bournet welcomed us personally and showed us round, giving us a fascinating tour. A lovely host, making this a memorable stay. We also had a great breakfast the following day

We stayed at Chateau de Bournet with my parents. The stay was magical, we loved it! The hosts were great, making sure that we have everything that we need, down to the tiniest detail. Breakfasts were delicious, the area and Chateau itself really let you rest and enjoy your time there. Hospitality was superb!

“Wanted to stay forever !”

This spectacular home was a great surprise for us. Took us into the past in a very good way ! Circular bathroom located in a tower in our room with all modern conveniences . The couple who own and live there were most friendly and have had a most interesting family history. Breakfast as a total feast spread out across a lovely dining table. Ask to see the chapel and all it has to reveal. I hope the owners are able to maintain this wonderful old house and it’s stories in the fashion it deserves.

Very beautiful castle, both from the outside as well as the inside. Huge room, with two large bedrooms, a TV room and a modern bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast.

Very friendly hosts, castle lady and lord explained the history of the castle , showed details and shared exciting stories. Delicious home made marmelade and cake for breakfast. All that made it an unforgettable stay. We would love to come back with our children.

“One night stand with Saint Concorde”

Fantastic castle full of history and surprises. We stayed there on night only, but I think we will remember this place and Saint Concorde for a while! Very nice and large room, with a secret spot in the toilets.... We had a private tour by the owner and loved his humour and knowledge. Highly appreciated and recommended!

“A beautiful historical chateau that won't break the budget.”

The chateau was beautiful from start to finish. The chateau itself is so full of history yet very comfortable. We stayed an extra night so we could explore the area more and had a gorgeous dinner platter at the restaurant on the property. The hosts Edward and Catherine were very lovely and provided a fabulous breakfast each morning. The garden view room was perfect for our family, with the children in their own room and we were separated by a litle tv room with an ensuite off our room. The chateau is in close primity to valon point d'arc and many grottos. We went swimming in the river and visited chauvet caves. We were sad to leave and would love to go back some day.

Wow! 14 day cycle tour through France, all of it excellent but our stay at Chateau de Bournet was a real highlight. You could not possibly wish for more welcoming and caring hosts. They offered to book a local restaurant for us for dinner, when that was closed they insisted on cooking dinner for us and it was exquisite, including many fresh vegetables and salad from their garden. I believe Catherine was a chef and it showed - a truly delicious meal put together at short notice. Breakfast again was a great start to our day. Bikes were very secure in the conservatory. Edouard was wonderful, gave us a guided tour of this beautiful living history chateau. A true gentleman, clearly having led a distinguished life but easily able to converse with people on any level. Class. Wish we could have stayed longer, very much enjoyed the short time with our hosts.
