“Unexpectedly good”

We had dinner at the Lodge and the food was exceptional. They were quite flexible for us and made us breakfast packs as we wanted to leave very early the next morning.

We had an amazing stopover at Fiume Lodge. It is a beautiful farm embedded into a stunning landscape. All the facilities are well maintained and in top condition. The rooms as well as the bar and dining room are lovely decorated and feature breathtaking views into the surrounding nature. For us the best part of our stay there was the exquisite 5 course dinner menu which consisted of local products and was of exceptional quality. From our dinner table we could watch eland antilopes gathering at the waterhole next to the building. Finally I want to highlight the charming hospitality! We will definitely come back when we travel from Etosha to Divundu the next time.

“A bit of an oasis ….perfect for an overnight stop”

We have stayed at Fiume before and were pleased to be back. It’s ideally situated midway between the Caprivi strip and Windhoek, and it’s a bit like an oasis in the desert. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the pool and a cold beer most welcoming after a 4+ hour drive. Supper was excellent, using both meat (game) and vegetables from the farm and breakfast was substantial. Sitting at the waterhole as the sun went down, watching giraffe, eland and other antelope plus the birds was a fabulous ‘last night in the wild’ experience.

“Everthing just perfect”

Absolutely everything about this place was perfect – from the rooms to the food, to the organization down to the tiniest detail. The cuisine was at the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant, with all ingredients sourced directly from the farm – fresh, organic, and healthy. It was, without a doubt, the most delicious food we have had during our entire stay in Africa. The attention to detail was remarkable: fresh flowers in our room, a sunshade set up for us by the pool the moment we arrived, and every request handled with a smile. The staff were exceptional – friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. The owner herself is warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. Evenings by the fireplace, overlooking the waterhole where animals gather, were simply magical. Every single aspect of our stay was flawless – truly an unforgettable experience.

“Nice Lodge with great food”

For us this was the perfect overnight on our way to the Caprivi strip. The Lodge is surrounded by bush and you have nice views onto the vast grassland and some of the game around; the garden area is also very nice inccluding the vast vegetable garden. The hostess and staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and we liked the fact that we could park directly next to it. We also liked the attention to detail, eg. little vases with flowers, beautiful decoration with our candlelight dinner. You should not miss the dinner at the Lodge. It was the best and most refined food we had on our 4 week trip though Namibia and Botswana- compliments to the chef!

“Relaxed, very friendly hosts and relaxed atmosphere.”

Fiume Lodge is on a farm with wildlife. The property was safe, clean, maintained, quiet and peaceful. Both Breakfast and supper was very good quality. We were also fortunate to see the animals come to drink at the waterhole a few meters from the lodge.

The staff was super friendly but also very professional and pro-active. We also appreciated the fact that the owner passed by each day (during breakfast or dinner) to check how our day and our stay was. Loved the dinner with view on the water pool!

There was no hot water in both our rooms. Airconditioning was leaking water inside chalet on top of our luggage soaking everything.

“Great place to stay and relax”

Owners and staff exceedingly welcoming, attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. We were the only guests staying on one night and the staff kindly set up both our evening meal and breakfast tables out on the patio overlooking the waterhole. Wildlife on the waterhole was amazing - a huge herd of Eland on one night. Morning and afternoon wildlife drives were offered. Easy to get to the lodge - with the drive to the lodge straight off of the B8

Excellent breakfast and dinner, cool , absolutely quiet location and fabulous hosts. Felt like a home away from home. Best biltong during the whole trip!!! Would stay there again and longer next time in Namibia.
