We stayed here for one night. The farm was super clean and spacious. The managers & staff were very friendly and present (in a very positiv way). There are many animals around which really calmed us down. The hike was nothing special but nice for a little move. The dinner and breakfast was extremely good.

“Absolute well-being in a rural, family atmosphere”
Dornhügel is a nice little guestfarm, located not far away from Grootfontein. The food has been very delicious, many of the ingridients are taken from the farm or are homemade, for example jam, chutneys or vegetables, as well as their beef. I've enjoyed the walking trail on the farm very much, you can see a lot of birds or animals like impalas or steinboks. The nature around is very nice and silence, the trail is something around 9 km. You enjoy a family atmosphere at Dornhügel, meet your hosts and their children during the meals. It's nice to play with their dogs or cats, and a very refreshing pool is located next to a beautiful large baobab tree.
