“Perfect relaxing base to explore the area”

Lovely view of hills with buffalo and zebra. The accommodation is very comfortable and has everything you need for self catering. The complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, milk, wine, rusks and biscuits were all appreciated. It is a nice touch to have a coffee station in the main bedroom. It offers the opportunity for 2 couples to wake at their leisure and not disturb the other. For us the hot tub was a big highlight and we made good use of it. We enjoyed a walk in the avo and macadamia nut orchards. The hostess was friendly and excellent at communicating.

It has been an excellent stay overall - a lovely cabin on a game farm, direct view on the water hole and its animals, very well equipped overall (kitchen & BBQ). The outdoor hot tub was amazing and led to nice evenings on the patio. Also the hosts were amazing - very kind and helpful.

“A taste of African life”

We had the perfect stay at Lustine’s cottage. The tranquil location was bliss and the views of the animals over the dam were bliss. We soaked up some sun on front lawn, we had a couple braais on the terrace and enjoyed soaking in the efficient wood fired hot tub. Plenty of wood supplied and you just pay Lustine if you need more. The cottage had all we needed, it had charm but was so well equipped, the kitchen had all we needed for braais, beds comfortable plus the place had very good air con in 3 rooms which we really appreciated at night as it was a bit humid and there are bugs / flies around so this helped lock them out. The location is remote but adds to the appeal. Just beware you need to drive 10mins up a gavel road to access cottages but all manageable in basic car. It’s ideal base for exploring George, beaches and Mossel Bay area. We had such a memorable time and certainly experienced a slice of the African bush. Only half hour drive away is Botlierskop game reserve and we had the best sunset game drive there which helped top off our trip. Thanks for being a great host Lustine. You have thought of everything. She was very responsive and helpful via what’s app. We will be back, :)

Simply put- everything was fantastic! Magical setting with game watching, experienced from the patio, complete with hot tub and barbeque. Our hosts have thought of everything. It exceeded our expectations and I would recommend this stay without a moments hesitation.

“Magnificent house to stay in South Africa with superb hosts”

This is truly a magnificent place to stay. The view is exceptional with the animals (bisons, zebras, kudus,...) coming to drink on the lake. It is nice to have a braai in the evening, fire up the hottub and see the sun go down with the animals in the field. The host (Lustine) sent all the information upfront via WhatsApp (restaurants, shops,...) and we ordered the breakfast basket which really had everything you can expect (and was actually too much). She was superb in the service. Besides that, the house is completely equipped with all things you need for a two or three day stay. The house is close to George and Mosselbay so definitly a must if you are in that area.

Everything was perfect ❤️ peace that passes all understanding. Would definitely return

We had a very warm welcome, with great tips of the area. The cottage had everything we needed. Spacious, AC and a very good shower. All was Nice and clean. The location is perfect (also if you do a gamedrive at Botlierskop) and the hottub was the best. Highly recommend

It was amazing, gorgeous location, remote and you need to take what you need with you but we had been prepared for that by hosts. Great to see the buffalo, zebra and deer at the watering hole.
