Didn't do breakfast. Nice new owner, but property needs a LOT Of work.

We got the room next to the office and breakfast room which meant it was noisy through the night (knocking on the office door at 3.30am and chairs scraping on the floor of the breakfast from 6am). Not a good night's sleep!

Prize is reasonable and there’s gas stations nearby

Breakfast was okay. Biscuits and gravy was nice, the rest was skimpy. One tiny muffin and one yogurt. There was toast, fruit and make-your-own waffles. There was also juice and milk. Coffee came from a machine and wasn't so good.

Reservation was made 2 months previously and was unavailable upon arrival. Given room with busted and boarded up window, cracked floor tiles(we covered with towels as they were sharp) and no smoke detector...but the worst part was that during a thunderstorm at 3:30 in the morning the ceiling starting leaking...had to stay in room bc nothing was available..

I can’t say enough about the kindness of the motel staff. They were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I had originally booked the wrong day and they happily changed it; I arrived in the morning after a sleepless overnight bus trip and they let me check in early; and the next morning when I couldn’t get transport to the bus stop, they drove me 3 miles into town, saving me a very long and cold walk on a frosty Iowa winter morning. All with a smile and good wishes. I heartily recommend them for any traveller.

I was not expecting it to be as clean as it was considering the low price. But it was very clean so I was able to sleep comfortably.
