Overview
Located next to the First gondola lift in central Grindelwald, Hotel Alte Post offers a small spa section and a traditional restaurant. All rooms have a balcony with mountain views. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are standard room facilities. All rooms have a bathroom, work desk and traditional pinewood furniture. Breakfast is buffet style and includes local products. Regional specialities can also be enjoyed at the restaurant. Wellness facilities include a sauna, steam bath and small fitness studio. A massage service is available upon request. In the winter, guests arriving on Mondays receive welcome drinks and snacks. Grindelwald offers 165 km of ski slopes and 43 lifts. The ski bus stops opposite the Alte Post. In summer, the area offers 350 km of hiking routes, a golf course and plenty of tennis courts. The resort also has paragliding and swimming facilities.

“Perfect place to sleep for a ski weekend in Grindelwald”
Perfect location close to the First cable car and the bus stop. Very good breakfast. Quiet in the evening. Very clean. We spent a weekend skiing in Grindelwald and this was the perfect place for us.

“Perfect and comfortable”
It was fantastic 5 nights stay! Great location of the hotel, very quiet, private parking, friendly and helpful staff, yummy breakfast. The departure from the hotel was like leaving your relatives, the lady at reception even presented to us two bars of local chocolate

“Wonderful experience for our first trip to Grindlewald”
Lovely Swiss chalet style hotel with lots of character and very friendly/helpful owner, great breakfasts, good size room/balcony, impressive sauna room (to help revive after long hikes) and all conveniently located by the First lift. Would gladly stay here again.

Good location to explore Grindelwald and the beauty of the town and Swiss Alps. Good value for money if you book early, good breakfast, convenient location for all key highlighting including cable cars and other rides. 2mints from the bus stop in the town itself, can locate easily. Friendly and helpful staff.
