The Derby Swiss Quality Hotel is a 3-star superior hotel situated right at the train station in the very centre of Grindelwald and offers you a familiar atmosphere and tasty Swiss cuisine. The Derby Swiss Quality Hotel dining room seats 80 guests and serves a 4-course menu to guests who booked half-board. The Gaststube is a local pub with homely ambience, where hotel guests and locals meet to drink beer or wine and have some snacks. The à la carte Föhrenstube Restaurant serves traditional Bernese cuisine and international specialities. During winter season a various choice of fondues can be sampled in the cellar restaurant Cava. “would stay again for my next visit”
Location is right next to the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious enough and very clean. We stayed on level 4 and enjoyed a superb view from our balcony.

“A week In beautiful grindelwald”
Fortunately this was our 3rd stay at derby and once again the experience was amazing. The Staff were so kind and helpful especially Ricardo who gave us tips on things to do. He went out of the way to help and his tips on what to do were 10/10. All the other Staff including the lady manager,(sorry didn't get her name) people serving at breakfast, lady at the reception were all ready to help. The Location is perfect and the entire team at derby deserve all the credit for the way they take care of their guests. Hope tp be back again

“Friendly staff and good location”
The main reason I picked this hotel was because it was close to the train station. And after a day of travelling from Zurich I was definitely glad I didn't have to wheel my suitcase any further. On top of this the staff were super friendly and gave me tips on what else I could do when I realised I wasn't able to go to Grindelwald First because it was about to close. Staff also advised on weather conditions for going to Jungfraujoch in the days I was there (visibility was low but it was still worth going in my opinion). The hotel has a restaurant, which was a relief when my legs didn't want to walk further than the hotel after a hard day of touristing. The food was delicious (both the dinner I had and the daily breakfast). Even though the hotel was right beside the train station it wasn't noisy. The room included a balcony and the view of the mountains was lovely.

“Memorable stay”
The location is the best…get down at Grindwald and in less than a minute reach your room. Excellent rooms and spacious and clean. We got eiger views from our room.

“Great time in Grindelwald”
Unbeatable location right by the train station, yet surprisingly quiet. The breakfast is well-rounded, rooms are a good size, and the balconies are a highlight. The small fridge is a nice added touch. Staff were very kind.

Location was perfect. Right next to the train station Included breakfast was great. Very fresh with many options. Staff were incredibly friendly with the room cleaned every day.
