“An expensive base in a good location for coffee.”

It is located about a 1km walk from the train station and around the corner from a good cafe/roaster. The apartment opens onto a terrace with a fishpond at the back. Views of the mountains from the terrace were very nice. We stayed during the summer so we could take advantage of the outdoor area.

“Disappointing”

Great location, amazing view, well equipped kitchen, quiet area though you are two minutes walk from the city centre.

The location is convenient being in town and close to local shops and restaurants. It's also a very close walk to Grindelwald-First Gondola. The apartment itself was comfortable, clean, and well stocked with everything you need. We had a great view of the mountains and the surrounding area was quiet our entire stay. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating for check in/out process. I would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future!

“Not worth it.”

Let’s start with the fact that this apartment was advertised as having a view. This is not entirely true. To see the view you have to walk outside and be positioned in just the right spot. The pictures lead you to believe the apartment has a balcony and is on an upper level. To be clear this apartment is on the ground floor. The apartment is fine. Not great, not bad. The furniture is old and doesn’t match as one would imagine. Cleanliness is okay and surrounding noise level tolerable. The biggest problem with this apartment is that it is operated by Interhome. They might be one of the worst companies ever. They are super aggressive with check in protocols, which is unnecessary. They have hidden fees when you check in that they try to advertise as doing you a “favor”. All throughout the apartment are signs of how you will be charged additional fees if you don’t follow their rules. To be clear, these “rules” include the kitchen must be cleaned when you leave or it’s a 400 CHF charge; if there is any water on the floor in the bathroom it’s a 500 CHF charge. All dishes must be cleaned and put away, bed linens stripped and all trash and recycling taken out. The trash and recycling location is not convenient by any standard. Nothing is provided, so make sure you pick up everything you can imagine at the store. Overall I would not stay with Interhome again. There are so many other independent operations that do a significantly better job. Don’t ruin your holiday.

“Spacious apartment with fabulous mountain views”

Fabolous location, stunning views of Eiger and other mountains, spacious rooms with a good design and decor. Lovely garden. Customer service is available on a phone.

“Best place I've stayed so far in Grindelwald - we will be back!”

The location was great, close to everything. Place was just the right size for my husband and I. Off the main road, so quiet, which we like.
