The apartment was tucked at the back so most rooms had a view into other buildings rather than out to the mountains - one window looked directly into another apartment's bedroom. The balcony was dirty with slimy moss growing and the outside table was folded away making it difficult to enjoy the outside space.

My stay at the Apartment Chalet Abendrot in Grindelwald from July 7th to July 16th, 2025, was overall very pleasant and enjoyable. The location itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a quiet, peaceful ambiance that makes it the perfect retreat. The apartment itself is cozy, well-furnished, and equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the living areas were spacious and clean. There was also plenty of natural light, making the whole place feel warm and inviting. One of the highlights was the proximity to hiking trails and the town center. The chalet is conveniently located, making it easy to explore Grindelwald and the surrounding area. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking for a peaceful getaway, the location checks all the boxes. However, I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. First, for guests staying longer than two days, I believe it would be a nice gesture if the management could provide free cleaning and towel changes every two days. During my 9-day stay, I had to arrange this myself, which can be a bit of a hassle, especially when you're just trying to relax. Additionally, while the staff were polite and professional, I felt that they could have been a bit more welcoming and friendly, especially toward Indian guests. I understand that this might not be the case for everyone, but a bit more warmth and openness would definitely enhance the overall experience for international visitors. That said, the overall experience was great, and I would recommend Chalet Abendrot to anyone looking for a serene and beautiful place to stay in Grindelwald. The peaceful setting and comfortable amenities make it a perfect choice, and I would definitely return in the future.

Location was amazing and right near a great coffee shop and on the main street but far away from the noises.

Wonderful, convenient accommodation in Grindelwald. Towards the end of the Main Street but still only minutes away from shopping, food and bars. Bus service is great, taking you to the train station for free. Clean, spacious accommodation for our adult family of 4. Beautiful views from our balcony and rooms. Would highly recommend.
