Located in Grindavík, 500 metres from Blue Lagoon, Silica Hotel at Blue Lagoon Iceland features a fitness centre, a bar, a shared lounge and a 24-hour front desk. Guests can enjoy free WiFi access throughout the property. The room rate includes premium admission to the Blue Lagoon for every guest per night booked. Guests also have unlimited access to the Silica Lagoon, the hotel's private lagoon that is sourced from the same geothermal hot spring as the Blue Lagoon. Great receptionist, Spanish guy called Jesus, he was very professional but friendly at the same time and explained everything into detail giving great advices. The private blue lagoon at the hotel was superb, we were the only ones there, we loved it!!! We also went to the Big Blue Lagoon as the tickets are included in the room but trust me the Silica Lagoon experience was 100 times better! The beds are super comfortable and breakfast was very good a swell. Having the snacks and drinks in the room included was a nice touch and the extra drink at the silica lagoon. Had dinner at Lava restaurant which was fantastic!

“A gorgeous hotel and a nice alternative to The Retreat”
A gorgeous hotel set in a spectacular location with lovely staff and great facilities. It's very close to the 'official' Blue lagoon and we spent a day at the spa at 'The Retreat', which I would highly recommend. They woke us up to see the Northern Lights which was also a nice touch. We had a fabulous relaxed breakfast & enjoyed the late night soak in Silica's Blue Lagoon.

The members of staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are very comfortable with high quality bedding. The bathroom has Blue Lagoon toiletteries. You can open a little window above the door to the patio and in the bathroom (everywhere seems to have the heating on very high!). Breakfast is plentiful and good quality. The lagoon is pretty quiet and very lovely! The bar/lounge area is very elegant and relaxing. I would love to go back!

Rating: 10/10 A sanctuary of peace and renewal. The atmosphere felt otherworldly—private, healing, and deeply serene. Soaking in the earth-warmed waters, surrounded by silence and nature, was like coming home to myself. Truly unforgettable.
