I liked the place! Good mattress, warm floor in the bathroom. Kind personnel, tasty food for the breakfast and very cool images on the walls! There was a room, from where it is possible to borrow iron and hair dryer.

“Decent old-fashioned inn”
As a more traditional inn style accommodation, Grimstad Vertshus combines rooms with a restaurant. The sprawling property occupies several interconnected buildings, with signs of a long history of hosting guests. My room was easily accessible on the ground floor, with a large bathroom and plenty of space to relax. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the personal was very friendly and welcoming.

“Good place for a stop-over for a reasonable price”
The rooms are a good size and decent. It's close to the highway and not far from the centre of a charming town. The breakfast is simple but filling. Plenty of free parking right outside the rooms.

“Good value place to stay to visit beautiful Grimstad”
Good value hotel near Grimstad centre, beds comfy, nice breakfast, plenty parking and extremely helpful staff (our crossing to Denmark was cancelled and we needed to stay an extra night and they did everything to make this possible - thank you!

Easy to locate in a good location off the highway. Nice walk to a pretty little town with restaurants. Parking onsite. Enjoyed the breakfast. Friendly reception staff.

“A basic comfy hotel close to the highway.”
The location of this is easy to find - not far off the E18. The room is basic, and beds comfy. No issues with communication. There are food vans, and a Bunnpris supermarket just across the road - very handy. The breakfast was more than ample. Grimstad is a lovely little seaside town.
