“Nice and homely!”

Elise & Alaistair were lovely hosts, we were welcomed with warm smiles and there were the little touches (like the chocolates on the bed upon arrival). Nice wee spot close to the centre and perfect walking distance to make the most of the winter fair. Continental breakfast was available but we opted against it this time around to explore the area more.

We had an incredible stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Elise and Alastair are wonderful hosts with some amazing stories to share. They were extremely helpful, kind, and welcoming. The suite was large, very clean, and the bed was so comfortable! The continental breakfast is a lovely touch. Absolutely recommend the Hidden Gem for a stopover! We hope to be back!

“A REAL gem...”

The hosts - kind, helpful, super accommodating, and provided excellent communication right the way through. The amazing accommodation - our own bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, front patio space. The AirBnB space is separated from the hosts home via a locable internal door. Everything is maintained so beautifully, the space is thoughtfully laid out with everything and more you could need for a short or long stay. We wish we'd had more than one night! The BED! - soooo comfy & warm with arrival choccies on our pillows. The brekky - it was such a beaut treat to have a traditional BnB contintenal brekky laid on by the hosts, at their dining table overlooking the garden and apple tree. They went to sooo much trouble. Lactose free milk & AND gluten free bread and cereal for my hubby, homemade apple compote, croissants, fresh coffee, juice and excellent company. We felt thoroughly spoilt. The location - a minute's drive to this pretty town's main street and 15mins to Stone Henge Aotearoa - which was such a special and educational experience. We'd thoroughly recommend Hidden Gem and can't wait to go back.

Lovely spot in Greytown, with easy access to the State Highway to get around the Wairarapa. Comfortable, warm, quiet and with a lovely garden and welcoming hosts. Continental breakfast was just what we needed each morning!

I had the perfect stay! The hosts were some of the warmest and most genuinely kind people I’ve ever met – their hospitality was heartfelt and made me feel completely at home, absolutely outstanding. From the very first moment, I was welcomed with such care and thoughtfulness. The accommodation was fantastic: beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed felt like sleeping in heaven, and the breakfast was great. The garden was a peaceful little retreat, perfect for relaxing. Greytown is a charming town, and the location is ideal for exploring Martinborough and Cape Palliser. This was truly one of the most memorable and heartwarming stays of my travels – thank you so much!

Hidden Gem lived up to its name in every way. Elise and Alastair were so welcoming, friendly and generous - perfect hosts and really warm, interesting people. The accommodation was excellent - immaculate and very comfortable and we loved the little sitting room and access to Netflix!! The garden was stunning and so private.

Our hosts were so lovely and welcoming. We had continental breakfast served each morning and came home with a box of gifted feijoas and apples! Our room/suite had everything we needed and was much bigger than anticipated. Everything was perfect. Thank you :)
