“Amazing Hotel!!”

The staff is very welcoming. The beds are excellent and the room is full dark at night. What an exceptional view from the balcony!! The swimming people and the jacuzzi are just awesome with the view. The food was excellent breakfast and dinner were exceptional.

It is an amazing place for recreation, visiting the white villages and hiking, and it's well maintained. The breakfast was very good

“Perfect in every way”

We’ve just finished a wonderful walking weekend stay at Hotel Fuerte Grazalema and what a fantastic experience it has been. The hotel itself is excellent — comfortable, relaxing, with absolutely breathtaking views across the mountains and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. Most importantly though, the staff were genuinely warm, welcoming and kind, making both us and Cila our Dalmatian feel completely at home throughout our stay. What truly made the trip special, however, was Grazalema itself. The whole village has such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and everywhere we went people were incredibly warm towards us. It’s a place with real charm, stunning scenery and a lovely sense of community. We leave feeling relaxed, grateful and already looking forward to returning.

“Wonderful hotel with beautiful views and excellent staff!”

We had a wonderful stay here for 5 nights. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The shower was hot and well-pressured and the beds were comfortable with lots of pillow choices, although they are 2x single beds pushed together rather than one double bed. The hotel has a stunning view of the mountains from the terrace and the pool, and the lounge area is very comfortable. As well as the pool/jacuzzi, there is a games room with table tennis, a pool table, air hockey etc, and some bicycles for hire (not electric). The breakfast buffet was good, the dinner buffet was well-varied, and the food from the bar was very tasty! The best part of our stay were the staff - particularly Fran, Marissa and the other receptionist (sorry i didn't catch your name!). They were so kind and helpful, particularly with their patience and efforts in helping me practice my Spanish! Muchísimas gracias por toda su ayuda, especialmente por darme la oportunidad de practicar mi español. Se lo agredezco mucho, y espero que podamos volver a visitarlos en el futuro :)

“Beautiful rural escape for couples and families with stunning views and amazing food.”

Beautiful, rural escape. Quiet place in nature with everything you need for a relaxing family stay. Breakfast and Dinner buffets had a large variety but not too much. This kept everything fresh. Stunning views, quiet rooms, carpeted hallways keeps the noise down. Free kids club, which our daughter loved. Small fridge in room was a nice touch.

Great location, excellent staff

I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel with my husband and our small 4kg Maltipoo, while visiting the Sierra de Grazalema to enjoy the nature and quietness of the mountains. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing—especially considering the price and expectations associated with this category. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because it promotes itself as dog-friendly. However, the reality was quite the opposite. Our Maltipoo is extremely calm—she sits quietly on our laps and never barks—yet the hotel enforced overly strict and inflexible rules. We were not allowed to sit on the terrace with her, even when no other guests were present. It felt unreasonable and lacking in common sense. Because of this, we were forced to have dinner in our room and breakfast outside in the cold, which made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating. The service further worsened the experience. One staff member in particular was rude and defensive at the breakfast saying “no” before we could even finish asking a question. There was no willingness to help or accommodate, which is far below what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Another major issue was the noise. This hotel is supposedly a nature retreat, yet it was far from peaceful. There was constant loud talking and shouting, making it difficult to sleep or relax. It certainly did not feel like a tranquil escape, which is especially disappointing when staying in a place like the Sierra de Grazalema. The rooms and overall facilities felt outdated and below standard. Everything seemed quite obsolete, lacking both comfort and attention to detail. Given the high price, the hotel is simply not worth the money. I was also celebrating my birthday during this stay, which went completely unacknowledged. While not essential, even a small gesture would have shown some level of care and hospitality. Additionally, information about hiking—essentially the main activity in the area—was almost non-existent.

Dinner. Once about 10 years ago Dinner was 10+. Newer seen so rich and tasty buffet! Our expectations of similair Buffet was actually our reason to travel to Grazalema. But this time dinner was no buffet at all. And main couse really was disappointed. Worst lamb chops I never eaten. Taste and look like rubber. Also salmon raw.

Amazing views, lovely pool looking out onto the mountains. Good location for visiting Grazalema and walking. Excellent choice of food for breakfast and dinner buffet - catering for all tastes.

The hotel is of traditional style, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food was of very good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. The views of the Sierra de Grazelema were fantastic.
