Set in a colonial mansion less than 100 metres from Granada Cathedral, Hotel Dario offers charming accommodation in the city’s old town. It features an outdoor swimming pool and an à la carte restaurant. Each spacious, air-conditioned room at Hotel Dario has attractive décor with wooden floors. “DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!”
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! My worst hotel experiense ever! Listen to this recording: https://www.aladdin.st/birding-south_america-26/hotel_dario.mp3 I recorded this from my bed after having tried to fall asleep for several hours. This is all night untill early morning. From their web page "Hotel Darío, on Calle La Calzada, is located just 100 meters from Granada’s central park and of the city’s magnificent cathedral. This lively area is full of restaurants, activities and other attractions, allowing you to explore and enjoy Granada’s vibrant night life" Should go to prison for renting out rooms like this. I did not stay for my full booked period. left after 3 night booking another hotel. I went to complain and they told me that they warned about this. WHERE! And booking.com plays along, and we read on booking.com: "Very good breakfast included" First day and I got an omelette, 2nd day and there was fruit, fried cheese and fried bananas and something that looked like something you throw out in the garden when you want the dog to "get the duck out of here" I complained to booking.com and no reaction at all. Been traveling South America for 2 months, everything booked with booking.com. This was th elast time, now I book direct from the hotel's own web pages. Bath tub was painted with white colour, why? It was disgusting. And the tile cement was missing and cracked at several places. DO NOT STAY HERE! I left early even though the room was paid.

Great location with really friendly and accommodating staff. Made an error and booked for a week later but only discovered this on check in, they were very helpful and understanding and changed it over to that night. Breakfasts were good, bed comfortable and facilities nice, courtyards beautiful with a very restful atmosphere. Easy access straight into the centre of the city. My praise goes to the boys on reception and the head of the meal service, always smiling!

“Centrally located, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff”
I stayed at Hotel Dario during a long weekend in Granada. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located near all the attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the ala carte breakfast option was delicious. Tania was extremely kind, attentive, and helpful in planning tours across the city and providing helpful dining recommendations in town. I highly recommend Hotel Dario!

The fresh fruits and the coffee at breakfast were excellent and the breakfast itself not far behind. Possibly the best location in Granada, the most Central, so much so that other party members staying elsewhere always met up at the Dario.

Great location and very beautiful. We loved the garden! The staff was very helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The beds were comfortable and it was a perfect cool temperature in the rooms. Overall a great stay, would definitely recommend!
