“Family, quiet hotel in an excellent location.”

Family hotel in a quiet location. From my point of view, in an ideal location within walking distance of all the main attractions (Zugspitze, Alpspitze, Eibsee, etc.). The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfasts were varied and tasty. Refreshments available even outside of staff working hours. Absolute satisfaction. I can only recommend it.

“Great stay in Grainau”

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room I stayed in was very cozy and recently renovated. Everything was very clean. Breakfast spread was good, not extremely big, but there was a bit of variation everyday, and everything was delicious. The position is great, especially if you want to use public transport. There’s a bus stop right there, or the Cogwheel train station which is a 5 minute walk away (both can be used with the Grainau Card, which is free for guests).

The apartment was vary spacious and clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel itself is charming and authentic.

“A decent, affordable room with a good view”

Smashing location, nice rooms, excellent view, good price. A fridge full of drinks that you can add to your bill is a godsend on a cold night. You're literally five minutes from two decent trailheads.

Excellent location near grainau train station

Excellent facility, good value for money in comparison with other options in the region. The host is outstanding in her efforts to provide the best service, especially breakfast. Heating in the room was always available, never switched off for a night time as in many other facilities.

“Great stay, nice location, kind staff”

Great location in the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. It was actually in a small village called Grainau. I really liked that I could rent a bike from the hotel itself and visit Garmisch and nearby regions. It was located close to Eibsee and Zugspitze, which are beautiful places to see. It was also close to (1.5hrs by train) to Mittenwald, another beautiful alpine town with places like Klais and Krun nearby. The best day I spent was visiting alpine lakes (Lautersee and Frechensee), riding my bike in mountains, and enjoying the sun near Klais. I visited in October, so very beatufiul autumn colors all around the town, and being in the outskirts it got really dark so that I could see a lot of stars. Despite being dark, it wasn't unsafe. The hosts really looked after me, ensured they answered all my questions, were very nice and polite. When I was going out to hike early morning in the dark not carrying a torch naively, they kindly lent me a torch, which was a really nice gesture I think. Despite being on the outskirts, the place had amazing breakfast, wifi, heating, and a few nearby restauraunts. If you take a car, the places become even more accessible even at night, or if you go in the summers and it gets dark later than usual.

“Charming hotel in a charming location.”

The best located hotel in the village with a lovely coffee shop on the street below. A little tired, the rooms are clean and bright and offer lovely views over the village. The owners are kind and helpful.

10/10 Perfect place, helpful and very nice staff. Great breakfast and especially quiet. Everything within walking distance. And the view of the mountains! We highly recommend it and we will definitely come back.

“A beautiful hotel in a great location, but also at a great price”

The location of this hotel is perfect, with many restaurants and the cog railroad station a short walk away. A bus stop (service to Eibsee and Garmisch-Partenkirchen) is directly outside the hotel. Both bus and train to Eibsee and Garmisch-Partenkirchen are included with the spa tax. Breakfast was great, with a nice selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits, and other items. Room was small, but very clean and comfortable, with an outlet right next to the bed. Perfectly sized for one person. Despite it being nearly 30C on one of my days there, the room stayed comfortable and cooled off quickly at night. The view from the room is spectacular, and the balconies are perfect for enjoying fresh Alpine air and evening alpenglow. The hotel is a beautiful building with classic Bavarian Alps architecture and bits of history scattered around, such as old advertisements for the hotel. Staff is quite friendly.

Great location, a short drive away from both Eibsee and Garmisch-Pattenkirchen. The room was clean and cosy. The owners were friendly and helpful. There was a table and a balcony in the room. Toilet was clean as well. Very satisfied.

“Great place and reasonable price”

I liked because it was clean. The bath was very clean, the rooms were clean as well, beds were comfy, warm and with enough space to put your ski clothes. Ski room was also available inside. There was a cosy room, downstairs, where me and my friends could hang out after dinner with a glass of wine/beer. Breakfast was very good as well, enough choices, juice was actually fresh orange squeezed that morning, i really liked it. I reccomend it, for sure we would go there again if we had the chance.

“Fantastic winter vacation in Grainau”

Hotel is perfect for families. Location is fantastic, 5 km from the center of Garmisch. Well equipped apartment, large, 2 separate rooms. Wi fi was perfect! Spa center is 500 meters from the hotel, entrance is included in the hotel price. Cleanliness is also superb! Free parking in front of the hotel. The owners are very kind and always ready to help the guests.

Nice staff it was possible to check in quite late even during Christmas Eve. Location was very close to ski area and picturesque. Good breakfast. Rooms were very clean.
