Overview
Offering a Big Five safari experience, Kwandwe Private Game Reserve is nestled in the heart of South Africa’s Eastern Cape. The reserve offers a variety of villas and lodges with luxury rooms or suites. Each air-conditioned room and suite features panoramic views and modern African-themes décor. Some rooms also come with private decks and plunge pools. The bathrooms all include a bathrobe, slippers and complimentary toiletries. Each villa and lodge offers free WiFi. Activities on the 22,000 hectares reserve include bush and big game walks, boat cruises, fishing, photographic safaris, rhino monitoring, rhino darting and bush banqueting. After a day out on a safari vehicle or boat cruise, enjoy an in-room massage or refreshing cocktail. Grahamstown is located 40 km from the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve and Port Elizabeth Airport is 160 km from the reserve.

“More than we could have dreamed for - stunning settings, wonderful people & beautiful animals.”
Kwandwe is the most special place, we had the most incredible time and have memories we will cherish forever. The people are amazing & the rooms are beautifully done and so comfortable. All the food is delicious & you are made to feel very at home. Our guide Jarrod was incredibly knowledgeable & went above and beyond for us. We also saw an incredible range of animals & Jarrod & Ntobeko (our tracker) would track special animals we wanted to see. I would recommend Kwandwe to everyone, we were so sad to leave which is a sign of an epic stay! Hopefully we will be back! Thank you!

“Wonderful”
This is a quite exceptional private game reserve and we saw a great many animals close up. The ranger and tracker were very knowledgeable and managed to produce great viewings for us

“In LOVE”
Absolutely everything! It started so great with a warm Welcome at the Reception with Michaela to the Welcome at the Lodge with Stacey. We had a Drink and a superdelisheos Lunch (great Chef!). The room was awesome, all the staff great and our Ranger Courtney and Tracker Vuyani a great Team with huge Knowledge. No question Courtney cound't answer. The game drives were great fun and we were so lucky that in one game drive we saw all of the Big 5. Bush Brealfast and Boma, Dinner in our Room - always up to a surprise were just the cherries on top! Absolutely in LOVE with this place!
