Overview
Set on the island of Grado, Hotel Merano is 200 metres from the sandy beach. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a garden and a free gym with views over the town. Rooms at the Merano have centralised air conditioning and satellite TV with international channels. Some have a balcony and views over the lagoon. A continental breakfast buffet is served daily and guests have discounts at local restaurants. Staff at the Merano Hotel can offer tips on the many spas and wellness centres using the island’s thermal waters. Grado’s water park is 5 minutes’ walk away and has thermal and therapy pools, a sea water swimming pool and water slides. You can visit the 6th-century Basilica of Santa Eufemia in Grado town centre. Trieste is just a one hour drive and Venice Marco Polo Airport can be reached in 1.5 hours.

“Small and cute”
The hotel is small, cute. The rooms are a bit smaller, clean and well equipped. We had a balcony. The breakfast was delicious. The location is good. The staff is friendly.

“Amazing find in Grado!”
Everything! This was just a fabulous stay, the staff were very friendly and didn't mind at all I was late to check in after their hours. The bed was so comfy, the room was super clean and even had a balcony with a sea view which we weren't expecting. The breakfast was also one of the best I've had, the coffee was seriously amazing, I felt bad that I had 3 as they were delicious! We were able to leave our bikes overnight in their storage area. The shower was also great, very hot and great water pressure. The hotel was very central, a few minutes by foot to the beaches, shops and restaurants. There are plenty of hooks and space to hang clothes and in the hotel itself is a small bar and a lovely quiet yard to sit and enjoy a drink.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are ready to assist with all the queries you might have concerning the stay or the city. The room was clean, and it wasn't small. The shower is tight for bigger persons. TV is working well, and so is the A/C. The area was quiet, and the only noise came from the guests. The parking lot is small and tight, yet functional. Breakfast was a buffet, and the food was the same every morning. However, there were different options, so one can choose to eat different meals every day - fruits, oatmeal, continental, boiled eggs...
