Relax and enjoy beautiful sea views from Hotel Fonzari's 7th-floor rooftop swimming pool. A 2-minute walk from the beach, the hotel enjoys a great position in Grado's historic centre. Piazza Biagio Marin and Grado's Roman ruins are just a few steps away from Hotel Fonzari, as are shops, restaurants, bars and ice-cream parlours. Go for a stroll along the seafront or take out one of the hotel's bikes for the day. Enjoy special rates at the beach and Grado Golf Club. Hotel Fonzari's top-floor terrace has a hot tub as well as a pool, and plenty of space for sun bathing and enjoying drinks. The restaurant is also located in this panoramic setting. You can pamper yourself with facials, massages and beauty treatments at the beauty centre, or enjoy the free fitness centre, while the kids have fun in their very own playroom. We booked the hotel because of the pool and the terrace bar with the view to the sea (we were looking forward to a sunset drink or coffee up there). Not so great that we got informed that both is still closed until mid May. This had not been mentioned in the description, if yes we would have booked a different cheaper hotel. We mentioned it at the reception but did not get any reaction.

Our stay was great. The room was clean, and the balcony had a nice view. The only problem was the heating in the room during the night. It wouldn’t be such an issue, but we were traveling with our 1-year-old child. I forgot to ask if an electric heater was available. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay and we will definitely be back. Breakfast was also very nice, and the lady serving it was very kind — she even offered a plastic plate and fork for our child, which was a lovely gesture.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There was a good selection of continental and cooked breakfast items. The room also had a balcony with sea view which was great. We hired bikes from the hotel at no extra charge which I would strongly recommend doing to explore the local area!

“Very good value, super location and friendly staff”
The sunbeds on the 7th floor need replacing. They are mostly ripped, very uncomfortable and one was covered in cigarette ash. Also the bikes need servicing and locks should be replaced. Some are so stiff.
