Hotel Zum See was an absolute gem of a find. It’s charming and quaint, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. The rooms are a little dated, but this honestly just adds to the charm and character of the place. We felt it offered great value for money. The staff were amazingly helpful and genuinely friendly, always happy to assist with anything we needed and quick to offer advice or a lift into town. The spa and sauna area is a lovely bonus, available to hotel guests in the afternoons. It’s the perfect way to relax after a day out skiing on the slopes and a real highlight of the stay. The downstairs restaurant (run separately) is also well worth going to – the food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there.

“Great little hotel on the mountainside”
Hotel Zum See was a port in a storm. When the road and train to Zermatt were shut down due t s landslide. A bit of a drive up the mountain in the dark, and a late arrival, but welcomed by warm and friendly staff. The breakfast the next morning was excellent typically breakfast.

“Mixed experience”
We had a lovely balcony onto the lake, which was unfortunately frozen. The view from the room facing the mountains was amazing. The chef and lady waiting on us at dinner were very nice and helpful.

This is my 3rd stay. I started TMR from here. While I was doing TMR they let me leave my car and luggages. All the staff were very kind. Accommodation was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. If I go to Grachen again I'll stay at hotel Zum See for sure!

“Very comfortable room with excellent breakfast”
This was my second time stay at Hotel Zum See. The room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff were very kind. I loved breakfast at the hotel. All the breads were very nice. It's on the TMR route. Many other good walks around. My dog loved here too.
