“Best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in in any country”

From our arrival to departure could not fault the hospitality, food or facilities. Barbara treated you like distant relatives staying for a few days. The breakfasts are relaxed but plentiful and all tastes and dietary needs catered for. Little bags are provided on your table and you are actively encouraged to take as much food as you want for a picnic - something I have never experienced before and consider ourselves well travelled. We were treated to a glass of wine one evening after we had been out for dinner to watch the sun set on the terrace.

Zrinka house was the perfect location for visiting Plitvice NP with only a short drive to entrance 1. The house is beautiful, well kept and clean, with Barbara the host being the most amazing person to look after you during your stay. The breakfast was superb and the extra picnic bags supplied by Barbara to fill up and take goodies with you for the day was very special and welcome addition to our stay. One of our most favourite places we stayed out of our whole touring holiday. Thank you!

“Pure magic”

Everything! From the moment we arrived Barbara was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The property and the room was spotless (the online photos truly don’t do it justice), with views of the mountains and walking distance to some lovely restaurants. The homemade cakes in particular are to die for and the breakfast was varied and delicious. We were even able to make sandwiches and pack some of the food up for a lunchtime picnic which was great for our hiking days. The location is excellent, especially for the National Park (10 mins drive to entrance 1) and not far from Rastoke and the caves. We had the best time at Zrinka house and never wanted to leave! Cannot recommend Zrinka House highly enough, we had the most wonderful stay!

“Amazing Accommodation for Plitvice Lakes National Park”

Location is terrific just a few minutes drive from Plitvice Lakes National Park and close to many restaurants. But that isn’t what gives Zrinka House a perfect score - it’s the hospitality of the owners. Barbara is a lovely person who is generous and caring toward her guests and is really interesting to have a conversation with and learn from. As a traveler it’s such a privilege to have a connection with a local person. The Guest House is immaculate with large guest rooms that are extremely comfortable. Everything about our stay was exceptional from the moment we arrived and were greeted by Barbara. You just feel so ‘at home’ due to the hospitality. Our room was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was ample and set us up for our day touring the lakes, fuelled by whatever additional items we had packed from the breakfast buffet. It was so nice that we were encouraged to take whatever we fancied rather than buy fast food in the park to sustain us. Barbara is so knowledgeable and happy to share tips so that you make the most of your time in Croatia.

The room is exceptionally well designed and decorated with small touches. The bed is very comfortable providing a good night’s sleep. Breakfast is good with extras for us to take away. The site is about 10 minutes’ drive to the park. I highly recommend Zrinka House.

We have never had a better welcome than by Barbara. She is unbelievably kind, what a hospitality. Breakfast and picknicks were amazing. Beautiful room ( incl Netflix), amazing shower, close to Plitvice in a lovely setting.

The highlight was the staff. Owner Zrinka and her daughter Barbara could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Large purpose-built guesthouse in a rural location with attractive neighbouring properties spread out in a lovely landscape. We were encouraged to take breakfast buffet items as a picnic for visiting the park.

Amazing owners who are going above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay here. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I really liked all the small details when it came to the decoration. Breakfast offers bread, eggs and local cakes. You can also take it away to prepare your own lunch set (for picnic) or on the go. The accommodation is located 11 mins driving away from entrance 1 of the National Park. There are restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Unfortunately I only stayed here for 1 night and I can highly recommend this place to everyone.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything about this property was flawless. The exterior was charming, while the interior was beautifully styled with thoughtful touches throughout. Our spacious room and en-suite were immaculate, with every comfort provided – and the enormous bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. We were warmly welcomed with a drink and homemade cake, and the host Zrinka could not have been more attentive – nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a real highlight, with eggs cooked to order, an impressive selection of fresh, homemade items, and every detail perfectly presented. We especially loved the thoughtful touch of being encouraged to pack a little picnic for the day ahead. Quite simply, this was the best place we’ve stayed during our entire Europe trip – a perfect combination of comfort, hospitality, and charm.
