We stayed one night at the Goy Gol Hotel, booking two lake-view rooms through Booking.com. The rooms we stayed in, 3301 and 3302, have several issues: Room 3302: The bathroom has a terrible sewage smell because the toilet is not properly fixed to the floor. When flushed, foul water leaks from the base of the toilet onto the floor. When using the shower, water also leaks from under the shower tray. Additionally, the TV in this room does not work, as there is no antenna signal. Room 3301: The room does not have a lake view, despite us having paid for one. Furthermore, the jacuzzi bathtub is not working. We were asked to pay in advance, which we did by card upon our arrival. We requested a partial refund as compensation for the inconvenience of having to share a bathroom—since one was unusable—for the lack of a lake view, and for the other malfunctions. Our request was denied. Communication with the reception was also very difficult because nobody at the hotel speaks Englis. The lake and the natural reserve is stunning but the bad experience with the management ruined the moment, you can book a room in the many hotels available around the national park. At least you know what to expect

“Nature at its best”

The drive to this area is around 6 hours from Baku and its one of the most beautiful areas anyone would see in their life. The surroundings were calm and perfect for relaxing. The weather was amazing during my stay. The cottage itself did not have a view of the lake, but it was only a 5 to 7-minute walk away through the forest. The walk was pleasant and added to the experience. There is a cafe near the lake view people sit and have tea The staff at the hotel were very kind and friendly. Although there was a language barrier, they tried their best to help. I had to ask for some amenities that are usually provided before check-in, but they were quick to assist once I asked. They serve shisha also in the restaurant However, the overall experience was positive, and I appreciated the peaceful location and the helpfulness of the staff. Maragol lake another beauty is 10 mins away from this resort after taking a bus near the reception area you will find the lake after climbing for another 10 12 mins. This lake has its own magnificent view which can be seen from near unlike goygol lake.

Yerləşimi və mənzərsi möhtəşəm idi. İşçilər mehriban və yardımsevər idilər. Reseptionda oturan bəy və Şamo bəy sağolsun nəsə problem olanda həll etməyə çalışırdılar. Restoran işçiləri də çox yaxşı idi. Otağın təmizliyi yaxşı idi. Hamamda isti və soyuq su daim var idi. Səhər yeməyində çeşid az idi ancaq təzə və bol idi.

Breakfast at the lake was amazing, really good service and nice view.

Location indeed is something worth for. Nature all around, unique Göygöl lake and Mt. Kapaz view. General silence during non-daylight times. Friendly staff. Worth to stay a night if you also want to try Maralgöl visit, as well. Or more days if you want to enjoy ultra passive days. There is almost nothing to do, except adorable lakes. Breakfast included, with possible little chances of getting perfect lake view.

I have booked a cottage (One-Bedroom Chalet) and the view and location is very good.
