“The nicest place I stayed even though it was the cheapest.”

Please note, if you use the bus from Heraklio it is 2 euros twenty, very nice clean and regular, and you get off at bus stop 15. I did not know this and had a bit of a walk. I loved this place more than any others I stayed in because of the charming hosts, birds and the beautiful garden and pool. am interested in bird watching. It is not always easy on Crete, but due to the proximity to a small gorge (Apostolemi), a wild meadow between the road and small settlement, and cliffs nearby, I saw bee-eaters, birds of prey, chaff, gold and green finches, and various others and photographed with a small zoom from my balcony. The bee eaters flew over there and Apostolemi Gorge several times. I was lucky in that they settled on telegraph wires next to my balcony and also on a trees I saw at Aposolemi. As for the accommodation, it is good for a short stay. I got an upgrade, so had a one bedroom flat instead of a studio. the fittings are standard Greek style, with solid wooden table and kitchen cupboards and the place was immaculately clean with a view of the olive groves and hills with cliffs beyond. As the price reflected, it was not high end state of the art, but standard Greek style, but prefect for the short time I was there, and i'd liked to had stayed longer. The pool was crystal clean and clear, and a delight being in gorgeous grounds with olive groves at the back. I am quite fussy about what water I swim in and this was cleaner than most. There were plenty loungers around the pool, which were very comfortable due to an ergonomically positioned neck rest, been bags, benches, tables, also some outdoor toys for children. It is a family run place and the hosts are typically welcoming like most Cretans, in fact the lady is super delightful, and made me feel at home from the start. I hope I am lucky enough to go back some day and am grateful for the experience.

The pool/bar area very clean and maintained. Manos every morning cleaned and tidied whole area. Valentina, Manos, Alexandra and Maria were very accommodating tried forfill my requests.

Rustic Greek accommodation with modern clean and comfortable pool and pool bar. Amazing accomodating staff. Great little shop for basics! Love it's family run and was a very relaxing place to spend the week.

Friendly people and good location for buses along the coast. A short walk to the beach with bars and restaurants. Maria kept apartments beautifully clean and the pool was a great place to relax.

Loved the welcome and the friendliness of all the staff . Valentina was vey welcoming , Alex cooked super Greek traditional food 10/10 ,Maria kept it clean and tidy , Manos looked after the pool and outside areas. Great pool area . Super place to stay . Good location Lovely chilled stay for us .

The hosts were very friendly and helpful ,also Maria and Alexander were very good to. The location was very quiet as you are not in the center of Kato Gouves which made it very peaceful. the view of the olive grove opposite was lovely also and the garden was very pretty.

“Beautiful place”

Beautiful place with fantastic friendly staff. Valentina, Alex and Maria all made me feel very comfortable as I was on my own for a few days. The accommodation is very good. I had living/kitchen room, bathroom and bedroom. Spotlessly clean. The pool area was lovely very chilled. Barbecue night was great fun and the food delicious.

We had a really a superh holiday here, and I can highly recommend staying here, we intend to go back hoprfully next year.
