Overview
Hotel Rahovets is located in the centre of Gorna Oryakhovitsa, 200 metres from the bus station and just 50 metres from the main shopping street. It offers free WiFi and an à-la-carte restaurant, which serves traditional Bulgarian cuisine. The air-conditioned rooms at the Rahovets are fitted with cable TV, ironing facilities and a private bathroom with bath or shower. Some have a balcony. Guests can use the free table tennis or rent a car at the 24-hour reception desk. Room service is available and breakfast can be served in the rooms upon request. The use of the fitness room is at a surcharge. Horse riding in the nearby historical village of Arbanasi can be organised by the hosts. Free private parking is provided. The train station as well as Arbanasi are a 2-minute drive by car. Tsarevets Fortress is a 5-minute drive away.

“The best hotel in Gorna Oryahovitsa”
The best location in the city, in the very center of it. Yet, very quiet and safe at night. A lot of options to reach the place by taxi or public transportation. Affordable prices, breakfast included, check-out at noon.

“The place to be in if you are in Gorna Oryahovitsa!”
Excellent location, right next to the central square and the school I needed to teach at. A very friendly receptionist and wonderful view of the Christmas decoration from my window! Excellent internet speed too! Check-out time is by noon! This was an additional bonus.

Subject: Complaint about misleading accommodation – request for refund Dear Booking.com Support Team, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding my recent stay at [hotel name], booked through your platform. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different from what was advertised, and I feel that I have been seriously misled. Issues encountered: 1. The hotel is listed as a 3-star property, but in reality, it does not meet even basic standards (closer to 0.3 stars). 2. I was charged 390 RON for the room, while the advertised price was 359 RON. 3. The room was supposed to be 40 sqm, but instead, we received a small double room of only about 20 sqm. 4. The beds were not real beds but rather old, broken armchairs that fell apart while trying to sleep, making it impossible to rest properly. 5. Either the receptionist intentionally gave us a downgraded room, or the hotel is deliberately misleading customers through false advertising on Booking. Requests: • Immediate investigation of this hotel and verification of its actual conditions. • Removal of the hotel from Booking.com if it does not meet the minimum quality standards. • A full refund of the amount paid, considering the major discrepancies between what was promised and what we actually received, as well as the lack of minimum comfort. I have attached photos and additional details to prove these issues. Please treat this complaint as urgent and provide me with a resolution as soon as possible.

The bed linens and towels were clean and the mattress was comfortable. The water pressure was good in the shower and the temperature ranges were well adjusted. The cute anime girlie painting on the wall was nice.

Good central location with limited onsite parking. Bus stop beside hotel for trips into Veliko Tarnovo if travelling without a car. Central square with Christmas stalls and ice rink adjacent to hotel.

Big spacious room, exceptionally friendly staff. The receptionists all spoke good English for foreign travellers a premium as in Bulgaria foreign languages are an exception. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide range on offer.
