Véro was a great host and the breakfast was sublime every morning. Everyone was nice and friendly, even though our french is very bad we were always well taken care of. Also, great shower!

“Lovely place on Goree Island”

La Maison Du Marin was a lovely place ran by really helpful and kind owners. Upon arrival they gave us advice on finding nice restaurants on the island (as it was a holiday and a lot of places were closed) and also provided us with some information about living in Senegal. It was no problem that we checked in earlier than anticipated, and we were allowed to select a room of our choice (within our room rate). The bathroom gave hot water really quick and the breakfast was super tasty! Although our stay was just short, we really found the patio inside the premise really

A very quaint guesthouse with a rather lovely central riad-style courtyard, large rooms, good hot showers (not a given in many Senegal hotels) and excellent location right in the heart of Goree a few minutes from the ferry. It’s knocking on the door of boutique hotel status.

The breakfast is excellent, very good location, facilities are great, and the hosts are a delight, giving nice advices on restaurants for instance. The hotel itself has a few rooms on the first floor and a very nice open lobby with some greenery, perfect to relax while sipping drink

It was a really lovely room looking onto the court yard below. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was just a really relaxing weekend.

“Top choice for Goree”

Vero and Francois’ property is beautiful, peaceful and spotlessly clean. It is within easy walking distance of the entire island, including various cafes and restaurants (Vero and Francois will recommend their favourites). There is fast WiFi, excellent breakfast, great shower pressure, large and comfortable beds in spacious rooms. Our room was situated on the second floor on a balcony which looks over the greenery-filled central courtyard. Make sure to book more than 1 night - our biggest regret!
