Overview
Garni Rosa Delle Alpi is housed in a traditional building typical of Ticino Region dating back to 19th century 200 metres from the historic centre of Gordola. It offers well-lit rooms with free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Rosa’s rooms overlook the garden and are furnished in a rustic style with lots of wood. They include a private tiled bathroom and a TV. A breakfast is served every morning in the guest house. Guest can opt for meals at the partner restaurant Gnesa located just steps away. There they can sample traditional local specialities as well as the classics of Italian cuisine. Gordola Train Station is only a 200-metre walk away. The shores of Lake Maggiore can be reached via a 2-minute car drive. Verzasca Valley is only 5 km away, as is the centre of Locarno.

“A Swiss Night at Lago Maggiore”
Here is a convenient, quite and comfortable place to stay near the northeastern shore of Lago Maggiore. A nicely restored stone building with a beautiful little garden for breakfast and a great view of the vineyards of Monti di Motti. We arrived on Sunday night and found a great Italian restaurant (Ristorante Rotonda👍👍) a few minutes walk from the lodging. The Host was cheerful and had a plentiful breakfast buffet prepared. The area is amazing and I'm sure we will return!

We felt so welcome. The location was perfect for the train station and bus to Tenero. Breakfast was good. Good restaurants nearby. We will be back.

Clean, freshly renovated room, comfortable beds. Free parking. Very nice staff, breakfast included in price. Quiet neighborhood. Cheap for Switzerland. Perfect as a base for Ticino round-trips.

“Perfect for our three night stay in the area.”
The owner, Fernando, was most welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was perfect for us and it was nice to be served tea and juice on the small terrace looking out to the mountains. The location is quiet, especially at night, with a bus stop very close (less than 100m) and a train station only a five minute walk away, there are a couple of good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Staying at this Garni entitled us both to a Ticino tourist ticket that allows free travel on public transport during the whole stay which we made full use of, including a trip on the Centovalli Railway for which the Swiss section between Locarno and Camedo is totally free of charge. Great walks and swimming in the pools between various locations in the river are located around the Verzazca valley, only a 20 minute drive away.
