Overview
Located in the town of Golem, 5 km from Durrës, Hotel Albanian Star features a private sandy beach offering numerous water activities. The hotel also features a restaurant with a spacious terrace, a bar and an outdoor swimming pool. All accommodation units at Albanian Star Hotel feature air-conditioning, a desk, a seating area and a minibar. A TV with satellite channels is available, as well as a private bathroom with shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Each unit provides a balcony that overlooks the sea, the garden or the pool. The hotel’s private beach features sun loungers, showers and parasols. The breakfast was beautiful, and the staff were exceptional throughout our stay, we met Hussein (staff member), who was brilliant. The location of the hotel is marvelous, our room had the sea view with a balcony, I loved it.

“Fantastic staff, hotel and location”
We had a lovely stay here and found that staff would go above and beyond to help and make your stay the best possible. The lady who cleans the first floor is an angel, and everything was super clean. the staff at the desk were knowledgeable and helpful. We had a lovely room which was an upgrade given by the staff which was so kind. Despite previous reviews we found the breakfast buffet to be of really good quality. Eggs meat pastries cereal fruit. A good variety. The bed was super comfy and big and we had a lovely view from our balcony of the sea. The pool area was also beautiful you get a direct view from the pool down the beach to the sea the pool was extremely cold though but I'm sure it would be warmer in the summer months. The only thing I would say would improve it is that our balcony didn't have a privacy screen and so it was shared with two other rooms it was massive balcony but hard to relax out there as it felt like a shared space. We ate at the hotel restaurant (avra) and the food was exceptional and fairly priced. Also the cocktails we had from the beach bar were the best cocktails we had all holiday.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing and super comfy beach area, including sunbeds. Everything about our stay was excellent! The bedrooms were big, beautiful, and very comfortable, and the sea view was absolutely breathtaking. What truly made this hotel stand out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling. The reception staff were amazing and made us want to come back again for sure. They went above and beyond for us every single day. The cleaning staff were also so sweet and did a fantastic job. The breakfast was really good, and overall we had such an amazing experience from start to finish. A special thank you to Hussein, the manager, and also to the lovely girl at reception whose name I sadly can't remember (sorry!). Thank you everyone for making our stay so special - we will definitely be back soon.

“Great food, always helpful staff, what more do you need?”
We visited the hotel after the November/December season, but despite this we felt great and were not bored. The food in the hotel was great, as was the staff. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and the communication after our departure was excellent. If someone wants to enjoy a relaxing stay on the first line by the sea, this hotel is definitely a great choice, we highly recommend it!

The 2 ladies from the front desk/reception were very helpful specially Erika she was amazing and caring. The restaurant's waiter(breakfast)was fantastic as well! Always with a smile on his face and available to help. Great place, awesome staff!!

The location is great, but the room wasn’t perfectly clean. The bathroom felt quite old and wasn’t very well maintained. The buffet breakfast could definitely be improved, while the quality wasn’t great, it’s probably what you’d expect for this price range.
