Overview
Boasting a sauna and hot tub, this Golden boutique hotel is located next to Kicking Horse Ski Resort. It offers ski in / ski out accommodations. The boutique hotel also features rooms with mountain views. Vagabond Lodge’s guest rooms are furnished in a European style and each are equipped with a unique private bathroom with heated floors. Select rooms open out to a balcony. A full breakfast is served daily. The Vagabond Lodge at Kicking Horse Resort has a spacious common area with a large wood-burning fireplace and billiards. Ski storage is also offered. Activities near the Kicking Horse Lodge include white water rafting, horseback riding, snowboarding and skiing. Golden city centre and the Golden Golf and Country Club are both 14 km away.

“Stunning Vagabond Lodge”
We loved our stay at Vagabond Lodge. In fact, we loved it so much that we added an extra night as we couldn't bear to leave! Kim was a great hostess and gave us a friendly welcome - despite us being late! The rooms are delightful and comfortable, The communal areas are beautifully furnished and very relaxing. Stunning views in every direction. Great breakfasts. The nearby gondolas (5 minute walk) take you up and down the nearby mountains which provide breath-taking vistas and great hiking. Visiting Boo the bear was also a highlight. We would definitely return here. It feels like a home from home. Thank you Kim.

High quality resort area, also suitable for summer activities. Beautiful lodge, surrounded by trees. Large but cozy guest areas. Spacious room, fantastic view. All very well apointed and maintained. Kim is a fantastic host: efficient, attentive to your needs, caring, but never imposing her presence.

“Wonderful stay with warm hospitality”
The chalet is beautiful and comfortable, and ideally located . The living areas are very pleasant. The welcome was wonderful, and they were very thoughtful. Moreover, we had a delicious homemade breakfast. What a great stay !

“In the middle of the nature, sportive and a home away from home”
Vagabond Lodge was great. Kim and her team created a fantastic atmosphere. Very cosy, relaxed and at the same time the level of service, comfort, was all of a very high standard. Thank you all!!!! We will be back!

The breakfast was delicious and home-made (fresh waffles, fresh scones, fruit salad). The entire team welcomed us and was very helpful and interested/interesting. The atmosphere is such that you want to spend time in the living area on the first floor and meet people from the lodge and other guests.

“Warm and friendly welcome to a lovely, luxurious home from home!”
Vagabond Lodge was an exceptional place to stay. It was in a fabulous location, spotlessly clean, lots of relaxing spaces to use and very tasty and fresh breakfast options. We went for our honeymoon and Ken and Lori made us so welcome and helped us plan many days out exploring this beautiful area, we will definitely be back!

Great lodge & terrific location at the resort (we were here in summer, but in winter it is ski-in ski-out). Ken & Lori were terrific hosts, and helped with lots of information about the Golden area. The breakfasts were also fantastic.

Ken and Lori were wonderful going beyond expectations to make the stay pleasant. Location is about as close to the gondola as possible. Great common spaces. Breakfast was excellent: Fresh fruits, Home made scones and bread. Yumm.

Amazing stay! Ken and Lori were absolutely lovely and welcoming and went out of their way to help. The breakfasts were a highlight! Beautiful lodge with a very comfortable bed. Great location.
