“The best stay we’ve ever had!”

This is the most beautiful property - every detail and convenience has been thought about, the facilities are amazing and the mountain views are stunning. The bed is so comfy and we loved the outdoor and hot tub area overlooking the forest and mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Cathy and Bruce are wonderful hosts and Cathy’s breakfast is 5*. We loved it here.

The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast exceptional. Hosts were lovely, and helped us out by allowing us to heat up a meal, even although our room did not include kitchen facilities. The Lodge is a little off the beaten track, but we didn't mind - the accommodation made up for that!

Cathy and Bruce are a lovely couple and we really enjoyed their company and the good advice on places to eat and visit. The gourmet breakfasts are AWESOME. Every day was a culinary delight and every detail of the food and place settings/cutlery/glassware/mugs were totally amazing. All of the accommodation is tastefully decorated with beautiful pieces of art and gorgeous fixtures and fittings. The hot tub was very clean and I wish I could have used it more - there is also a sauna which I didn't get to use but I'm sure it would have been excellent. The shared living area is huge and cosy and well equipped: we were lucky to have it all to ourselves for the duration of our stay. There is a log burning stove and plenty of wood but we didn't need to use it. We loved the location as it was so peaceful yet still handy for accessing Golden for shopping and meals. I have to admit we did consider stopping in Golden so that we didn't need to drive but that would have been a total error of judgement as the stay was one of the highlights of our trip!!

Everything! The lodge is about a 15 minute drive from Golden in a forest location. The lodge was beautiful, tastefully decorated and exactly how you imagine a Canadian lodge to be. Cathy and Bruce made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed our chats. The breakfast was next level, all homemade and delicious. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful lodge.

I couldn’t believe how much effort was put into our cooked breakfast, such a great way to start the day. Our room and bathroom were spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. The breakfast was unbelievable! Every day we had an amazing elaborated breakfast . The lodge is located in a quiet area surrounded by forest just 10 min driving from golden town where there are good restaurants and bars . The rooms are so very well decorated and with the most comfortable beds. The hot tub and sauna are a plus. The hosts are fantastic and they gave us the best recommendations (sites to visit, hikes , kayak and restaurants).

The location was beautiful. We stayed in the self-service apartment for 2 nights and it had absolutely everything you'd need. The bed was so comfortable and we had the 2 best sleeps of our 10 day trip. So quiet and peaceful like we are used to at home. No a/c unit waking you up like hotels. We only used the hot tub but there was also a sauna and various other facilities to use like BBQ etc. We would highly recommend a stay here.

“Secluded and elegant property.”

We were staying in the self catering apartment which was perfect. Large living area/kitchen, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Bruce and Cathy were so helpful and friendly. The property is so quiet and peaceful.

The hosts, Cathy and Bruce, are very welcoming and the location itself is so beautiful! If you are in the region, just book it and enjoy Cathy's exceptional breakfast and the amazing surroundings. A wonderful experience that we will remember for years and years!
