Offering beautiful views of the Purcell Mountains, this massive log lodge features free Wi-Fi. The Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is less than 15 km away. We were a little worried prior to our stay about noise having read a few of the more recent reviews, but we weren’t troubled in the night by anything. You can hear footsteps above but this didn’t happen for too long (also nothing different to what you might get in any other hotel/property). The room itself was clean and comfortable and it provided us an easy base for our one night stay in Golden. The views from the window were lovely to wake up to!

Nice, clean hotel. We spent here 1 night during our Canada roadtrip. Room was comfortable for 1 night stay. The hotel offers free of charge coffee, tea, oatmeal in the shared area ☺️ nice and cozy!

I felt like home at Basecamp Lodge because of the cozy and comfy atmosphere in the common area and the kitchen. Staff were helpful, guiding us to find attractions in Golden. Also, you could get discounts on some of the tours with their promo code! This place is one hour away from Lake Louise, and the drive would be on a scenic road.
