Overview
The luxurious Melia Grand Hermitage on a quiet hillside is only 100 metres away from the beach and is within easy reach of the centre of the Golden Sands resort. All rooms offer free WiFi access. The spa stretches over 2 levels and offers beauty and massage treatments, an indoor and outdoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a Turkish bath and a gym. Each room boasts a private and spacious balcony with a magnificent view over the sea, the swimming pool, the surrounding parks or the forested hills. Bathrooms feature a bath and a shower cabin that is spacious enough for 2. Fine Bulgarian and international cuisine is served in the Melia's restaurants and a range of pubs and cafés invite you to spend a relaxing time while sipping your favourite drink. North of the Melia Grand Hermitage there is a lush green park and on the east, there are green terraces, leading down to the promenade and the private beach. 2 sun lounges and 1 parasol are provided upon availability during the summer season, free of charge. Transfers from and to Varna, Burgas and Sofia airports are available on request and at an additional cost. The centre of Golden Sands Sea Resort is set 100 metres away from Melia Grand Hermitage. The BlackSea Rama, the Tracian Cliffs and the Lighthouse Golf Courses can be reached within a 30-minute drive.

“Low value for money, when you to go to 5 star hotels, you expect everything to be great”
The hotel is nice, rooms are big and pools are ok, also the one for little children. Food was ok, but not extraordinary, no taste for some dishes.

We celebrated my birthday at Melia and were truly very happy with our stay ❤️ We would like to sincerely thank the entire hotel staff — from the reception team to every single employee who made our holiday comfortable and enjoyable. It is rare to experience such a high level of care, kindness, and professionalism. A special thank you to the animation team — the young animator and yoga sessions were absolutely wonderful and deserve the highest praise. Such a positive atmosphere and warm energy ❤️ We were also pleasantly surprised by the food selection. Even in spring, there was a great variety of dishes, including healthy and dietary options as well as meals children enjoy, which made everything easy and comfortable for families. The restaurant was always spotless, with beautiful white tablecloths, and the staff worked so professionally and discreetly — everything was cleaned immediately and service was excellent. The hotel area is large and beautiful, and despite it being the beginning of the season, there was still plenty to do. It was also very comfortable that communication in English was easy, and staff kindly switched to Russian when needed. The only small downside was that we were not very lucky with the weather, and the pool felt a little cold for us. We were hoping for a bit more SPA experience, and from May 14 to 18 we would have liked to see a few more sauna options available. However, this did not spoil our holiday at all. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and sincerely grateful to the hotel for the care, atmosphere, and wonderful birthday memories. Thank you for making our stay so special 🌷

“Dreadful experience and very poor customer service!”
Facilities were always busy and packed up. Foodwise there was a generous choice on offer and the kids loved choosing different meal options and drinks. Gym was offering old fashioned equipment, so don`t expect much of options.

“Comfortable stay !”
The hotel is beautiful and the services are very good. One advantage compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Bulgaria is that, although the food is less varied, it is much tastier than at the others, where many dishes seem to have the same flavor. The rooms are very spacious, cleaning is done daily, and the staff is very friendly. The themed restaurants have much better food than the main restaurant (we tried 2 out of 3 – the Italian and the Bulgarian ones) and I highly recommend them. The private beach is okay. The distance to the beach is short, but you do have to go down quite a bit, as it’s not located really on the first line. The hotel is perfectly fine, but I’m not a fan of all-inclusive, hence the lack of enthusiasm. However, I do recommend the hotel for everything it has to offer.

“Disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel”
The room was clean, the terrace was very spacious, and the sea view was beautiful (we booked a sea-view room). The hotel has many facilities, and the indoor pool was the highlight of our stay as it was the only one with warm water. Parking was available, although very crowded, and I was lucky to find a spot. Most importantly, I enjoyed being with my family and spending quality time together.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and elegant. We chose one with a sea view and it was worth every penny. The parking is underground and you can get there quickly by elevator.
