“Don't be fooled by the polished photos or the word “luxurious” in the title...”
Don't be fooled by the polished photos or the word “luxurious” in the title—this unit in the La Mer complex was anything but. From the moment I stepped inside, I was overwhelmed by a persistent, foul smell that made the space borderline uninhabitable. The property manager acknowledged the odor, admitted they didn’t know what was causing it, and still had the nerve to keep it listed as a high-end rental. That’s not just misleading—it’s negligent. Yes, there are “panoramic views”... if you squint past the stagnant water puddling on the balcony. The linens were worn out and stained, and there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. This wasn’t one small issue—it was an accumulation of neglect. I had booked three nights. I barely lasted two while trying to air the place out. I left early and scrambled for alternative accommodations. The host and property manager were quick to respond—but only to deflect responsibility. No real solutions. No ownership. The only compensation I was offered was a refund for one night, well after the stay. To make matters worse, they explicitly offered additional compensation if I agreed to alter my review. I complied—but they failed to follow through and never reported anything to Booking.com as promised. So this review is now reposted in its original and unfiltered form. This listing grossly misrepresents what’s actually being offered. It’s not luxurious. It’s not cared for. And it certainly isn’t worth the price or the hassle. Unless major renovations and management changes occur, avoid this property entirely. There are much better, safer, and more honest options in the area.

Loved our stay in the La Mer complex. The room was clean, spacious, the terrace view was great. The sand on the beach was clean and the sea was also crystal clear. Our host was very sociable and helpful at any time with the information we needed. I'd surely return and I recommend anyone to stay here.

“Good place to stay if you want to be away from crouds.”
Complex has isolated beach and multiple pools for kids and adults. The La Mer complex looks great. The flat had kitchen appliances available, and owners showed good communication in problem solving. We had a view to the see. It is not close to Varna but it is quite private location so depends on your staying goal.
