A magical riverside stay – peaceful, cozy, and full of charm We had an absolutely wonderful time at Holiday Raustua Cabin. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the kind and helpful host. The atmosphere here is relaxed and warm – it truly feels like a place made for enjoying life at a slower pace. The location is simply unbeatable. The cabin sits right by a beautiful, clear river that feels like a natural swimming pool, with a soft mountain-rock bottom and water so fresh it’s almost surreal. We even had breakfast with our feet in the river, sitting on the edge with coffee in hand and the sun warming our faces – it was pure bliss. The beds were surprisingly good – honestly some of the best we’ve slept in. Soft duvets, quality mattresses – we all slept like babies. Sharing the bathroom and toilet area with others worked out totally fine, especially since everything was kept clean and functional. Yes, the cabin has a bit of wear and tear, but that only adds to its charm – and with such a fair price, it felt like a hidden gem. It was cozy, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches that made it easy to feel at home. There were so many extra things available that made the stay even more special: fishing rods to borrow, comfortable outdoor furniture, soft blankets for evening chats on the terrace, candles, board games, books, badminton rackets, and even toys for kids. Everything felt well cared for and ready to be enjoyed. All in all, Raustua is the kind of place you’ll want to return to. It’s not about luxury – it’s about atmosphere, simplicity, and feeling good. We’re already looking forward to the next time.

The location is perfect for a relaxing weekend or few days off at any time of the year, preferably in summer !

“Rustic basic but romantic cabin next to a gushing river.”

You can’t get a better setting than being besides a flowing river like this. To fall asleep to it’s sound and wake up and breakfast next to it. The hosts were super helpful and friendly as well. We fished and we barbecued and came back on our return as we liked it so.

The owner was very welcoming and helped us to find a different solution for our stay since our cabin was too close to the river during the flood. He prepared another room for us and took care of everything to make our stay as nice as possible

YES, the view of the river was beautiful; and in nice weather sitting at the table OUTSIDE would have been lovely. HOWEVER, it should be made VERY clear that the bathroom is about 30 meters/100 feet UP A HILL that is NOT easy to navigate for anyone even slightly disabled and/or anyone who has to get up in the night to make the walk up the hill. All cooking facilities except the BBQ are also up the hill. Sunrise on the river was beautiful.

warm shower with nice pressure, towels and blankets with nice clean smell, nice feeling of being alone, wonderful view, nice river just next to it. BBQ Option on the terrasse next to the Waterfront. (Just be aware its a Cabin, not a Hotel, bathroom outside, simple cooking equipment)

Very cleen and nice place with a view that is hard to beat:-) We slept very good in the beds which included free linnen. Nice and friendly host.
