I love everything about WestNest. It's a "coming home" for the heart. Comfy stay, friendly people, beautiful setup and allowing for a restful/peaceful stay.

We were travelling for work, but our stay at West Nest Lodge felt like a mini holiday. The property is beautiful, and we really enjoyed exploring the grounds and seeing the giraffe's roaming freely. The monkeys and other animals are caged in, while animals in enclosures aren’t really our vibe, they did appear to be well looked after, and perhaps there’s a specific reason for their setup. The lodge itself was lovely, the managers were attentive, and we had a great time relaxing at the bar. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!"

Food Was great. People where very friendly. Location was good and the the surrounding area was peacefull and property is located in beautifull nature.

Turkish bath

The premises was lovely and kid friendly. At reception there is an outdoor pool with slide, heated indoor pool, Boma, animals for the kids to look at and an outdoor play area. The chalet where we stayed was spacious and had a lovely view and private braai area. We had a friendly peacock come visit us and the kids fed it a few crumbs. The unit has the essential utensils and linen required.

Good setting on a farm

“After a perfect rest we saw a giraffe and Zebra foal on our way out in the early morning. So special”

Lovely setting surrounded by bush and quietness while watching the sun set was food for the soul after spending two weeks in hectic South Africa and a long drive through Botswana.

We arrived and could not find reception to check in. Asked someone to point us in the right direction. Finally told to go to the Chapel located on the property. We then found out the reason for not being able to find the main reception building - it had burnt down in June 2023! The owners are now using the Chapel for check-in/reception , for serving meals and the bar is also located here. We had a long journey to get there, and we were so looking forward to sitting on the beautiful deck for a sunset drink. The Booking.com site still has all the pictures and facilities listed - but none here now. This is VERY misleading, and frankly not acceptable. It is unfortunate that the building burnt down - but then PLEASE amend your Booking.com site!
