Overview
The hotel is located in the Finsterwald district of Gmund am Tegernsee, surrounded by a hilly landscape, about 10 minutes walk from Lake Tegernsee. The traditional building offers 18 rooms as well as a vacation apartment in modern country house style. The cozy beer garden and the restaurant including "Stuben" and "Schwemme" are available to our hotel guests to stay. Free Wi-Fi is available in the public areas of Der Tegernseer Hof. The rooms feature a minibar, TV and private bathroom with shower. Each morning, a breakfast buffet is prepared in the Tegernseer Hof’s breakfast room. 2 golf courses are within a 4 km radius. Many hiking and cycling trails can be found in the area.

“Bavarian experience”
Traditional alpine building. Stylish creaking shipdeck flooring (I liked it). Puritan interiors. Lovely rooms, comfy beds. Nice scenery, environment, fresh air. Affordable prices. Friendly, helping personnel. I would come here again. Delicious buffet breakfast. Recommended.

“Good, could be better”
I stayed at the Hotel for one night, so I won't be able to provide a perfect review, as 1 night is usually not enough to fully decide how pleasant or unpleasant my stay / experience was. The hotel has a great location, very close to the lake and train station, you can easily walk to both without too many issues. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful, they provided a lot of details about my stay, surrounding areas, restaurants and shops, they also took my breakfast preferences to make sure that everything will be ready for me in the next morning. The atmosphere at the hotel is also pleasant, very rustic and traditional. There are nice areas in the Restaurant where you can have your breakfast and a lot of places to sit down in the reception area if you need to wait for someone or a taxi. I haven't walked the entire Hotel's premises but the areas that I accessed were clean and cozy. My room selection was a Single's room, which was more than enough for what I needed, the room is very nicely fitted with everything that you need. The bed was comfortable enough for my one night stay and I'm sure it would be good for longer stays as well. I was happy to see that you have a mini-fridge, a safe to store your valuable items in and a TV to fill out the silence in the room. Overall, It was a good stay, I would recommend staying here as a couple or a family.

A classic german hotel perfect for a stay in Tegernsee! Very old-school but well-kept, super comfortable, super clean, nice restaurant and biergarten downstairs, everything perfect! Highly recommended!

“Excellent and modern place with great food”
Really nice little house (4 beds and 2 rooms) in the backyard - all new with a lot of wood. We could park our bicycles in a shed right next to it. Really nice dinner in the restaurant of Tegernseer Hof and also good breakfast. Very friendly staff. With good weather you can sit outside. 10-15 minutes to lake Tegernsee.
