Located on the promenade, perfect for an early morning stroll. We visited in late October, a great time to go, very quiet but most places in town still open. The hotel is very old and full of character. Very clean and cosy. A good choice for breakfast, especially the fruit scones! Certainly recommend staying here.

I loved this hotel - the decor was gorgeous and very very comfortable. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and Skipper the dog was so well behaved and lovely. MY only regret was that we were only there for one night..

Greeted by Sam who was friendly and helpful. Talked to the owner John in the evening while in the property's beautiful sitting room and got some really interesting background on the property and the town of Gloucester.

Had a great stay in Gloucester at John's Inn. Everything was well taken care of. Friendly hosts happy to help and talk about the area. Wonderful experience staying in a historic New England house right on the harbor.

Ambience

Would of liked more options for more fruit and bread. We did have a variety of pastry options. I think an ice bucket for cold water and juice would be nice as well,

Location r right on the ocean front was perfect and we really enjoyed walking to the port and the fort state park. Breakfast was good and sociable and our host was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location and views from Inn superb. Friendly helpful owner/staff. We had smaller room but was very comfortable. Property and gardens nice to look at.
