Lovely and charming campsite in a peaceful village setting. Surrounded by stunning nature and plenty of activities nearby - glacier, fjord, and a national park just a short drive away. Perfect place to relax and explore the area. We really enjoyed our stay!"

Lovely friendly family feel. Self catering kitchen and shared dining table and living room meant it was sociable. Sauna was a treat, and two other ladies went for a plunge in the fjord 🥶! Braver or more Nordic than me 🤣

Very comfortable beds and linen. Hosts very lovely and friendly. I was surprised that they spoke portuguese. Very spacious doble shower which lets the couple to shower at same time reducing occupancy in the wc. Good location and viwes.

The last place I expected to find a room with almost a Peaky Blinders vibe was in northern Norway, tucked between the fjords. This was probably the most tastefully designed room I’ve ever stayed in – incredibly cozy, tidy, and spotless. Bonus points for the sauna, and what made it even better: we could stay in the room with our dog at no extra charge.

Even as a last-minute booking with no prior check-in instructions, our arrival at Gulbrakka Basecamp was incredibly smooth. One of the hosts was outside to greet us immediately, offering a warm welcome and a thorough tour of the facilities, pointing out everything we needed. She even thoughtfully prepared a brew of her favorite tea, which was waiting for us in the shared kitchen with a lit candle as soon as we brought in our luggage – a truly lovely touch! Shortly after, the owner joined us and, with an inviting question about our time, proceeded to share the fascinating history of the place in the shared lounge area, which boasts a spectacular view over the fjord. This storytelling session, a must-experience in person, really enriched our understanding and appreciation of Gulbrakka. To top it all off, he then encouraged us to try a traditional Norwegian sauna with a dip in the icy fjord, even providing special wetsuit-like shoes and extra towels. It was a completely new and exhilarating experience for both of us!

Renovated old charm with history. Great mountain views from a very comfortable living room. Sauna is the best. Super feel, super value. Nastya was lovely and helpful at check-in. Owner loves the place. Amazing starting point for many outdoors adventures.

The very enthousiastic host who although we arrived late called us especially to give a bit of history (wow!) of the place and to give tips. Like swimming in the fjord. There’s a small beach in front. Really cozy room, great atmosphere.
