“A Home From Home”

Where do I start? After a few days in San Francisco, it was such an unexpected oasis of calm and tranquility. Karen was incredibly hospitable, from all of the little details in the cottage that made arrival feel so cosy and welcoming, to the beautifully mixed Martinis in the bar, along with a fabulous restaurant recommendation (The Glen Ellen Star). I also met a few of the locals who were also very chatty and welcoming. It felt like a real home from home and just what I needed!

Beautiful setting, a lot of care has gone into the rooms and they have excellent facilities and exceptionally well stocked with snacks. Loved the outdoor space each cottage has, where you can sit and relax. The cottages are in a great location within easy walking distance to restaurants, local shops and close to several state parks with good trails

Truely everything about it! Beautiful setting. The room was so romantic, from the decor to the steam shower, which my boyfriend loved! The outdoor seating was just so serene! I loved the fact there were only 9 cottages. Small and perfect! The location had everything one would want. On top of its proximity to Sonoma and Kentwood. No need to drive just hop in a Lyft or Uber. While in Glen Ellen no need to drive as everything is in walking distance. Will definitely return!

“Nice romantic getaway”

It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. It is clear the management went to great lengths to make guests happy.

“Ok, but too expensive for the actual comfort”

This decoration was really over the top. Signs with ; ‘be happy’ all over. No proper curtains though and towels plenty but all tiny. No good branded shower products.. we would suggest to spend a little more on actual comfort and a little less on decoration ( which we thought tacky)

Great comfy cottages that are well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, including a soaking tub. Although multiple cottages, each fells very private. Centrally located in Glen Ellen.

We love staying at the Secret Cottages. They are always clean and we'll equipped. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed and we weren't told, but there are several other options in the area.

Rooms are quiet, cozy and comfortable. Love the fireplace. Great shower. Ooodles of towels. I like that it is within walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants and a little market.

The cottages are situated in Glen Ellen, near Sonoma, where we spent two nights. Although we encountered a toilet issue, Karen promptly addressed and resolved it. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, with a nearby French bakery for breakfast and various restaurants. Despite the busy road, our room remained peaceful and undisturbed.

Attention to detail, bed comfortable, very good restaurants, coffee/ patisserie walking distance 200 meters. Private, cosy gas fireplace. Market shop with extreme wine cellar.

A beautifully appointed little cottage with high-quality bedding and towels, lots of pillows. A great jacuzzi tub. Complimentary snacks were a very nice touch. At the back of the tiny property is a seating area with comfy chairs that overlooks a creek. Great outdoor vibe just steps away from your door! It's obvious that the owner of these cottages has put a lot of thought into creating a nice experience for her guests! Convenient location, walking distance to everything in Glen Ellen and easy drive to many vineyards.

I stayed in cottage #1, it was fairly spacious, the bed was comfortable, the spa tub was amazing, outside the cottage is a beautiful setting, it is close to a quaint grocery store, and the neighborhood is quiet and feels safe and friendly. The hosts refilled snacks, waters, daily and were very communicative.

Team at the cottages were lovely and gave amazing recommendations and made sure we didn’t go without anything. The space was also really large yet cosy and the terrace was perfect in the sun. would 100% recommend.
