Quiet location, away but close to the center (car) Has everything you need. Owner is the nicest person we’ve met in Albania, and all were nice! A place I would return 100%.

Everything was clean, comfortable and the host was super friendly:)

The house is about 7km away from the center, but it takes only 10min by car, so that wasn't a problem to us. The apartment is just below the owners house, it was very clean and ready to use. The area was remote and silent. The check in was very easy and the host is extremely nice!! Totally recomend it!

“The best place to stay in Albania”

Absolutely exceptional stay, truly the best apartment we’ve had in Albania (and we’ve stayed in many)! Located just a little outside the historic centre of Gjirokastër, this place offered the perfect mix of peace, stunning views of the mountains and the city, while still being close to everything (especially ideal if you have a car). The apartment is on the ground floor, and on the first floor lives the owner who was simply an incredible host from beginning to end. He gave us tips on the best places to eat and visit, was always available to help with anything we needed, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (at one point even bringing us food made by his aunt!). We genuinely felt safe, supported and cared for during our entire stay. The property itself had everything: a large living room, lovely bedroom, spotless bathroom, AC, hairdryer, fully-equipped kitchen area, secure parking, a jacuzzi (which we didn’t have time to use but looked amazing), and even fresh fruit and bottles of water waiting for us on arrival! The surroundings were magical and peaceful, with cute cats wandering around the property, and unbeatable views. If you want to stay somewhere beautiful, quiet, authentic and still be minutes away from Gjirokastër’s centre, this is the perfect choice. 5 stars without a doubt, we will absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Everything was amazing! The place is huge and well renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped with Everything you may need to cook. The owner also left some fruit coming from his own yard which was very tasty. He also gave us some fried pancake which were super good. He was an incredibly nice and friendly host. The place is super clean and there is plenty of space for 2 people. The villa is located 10 minutes by car from Girokaster with free parking just outside the building. If you have the car I totally recommend staying here instead of Girokaster that is not very accessible by car. This is the best place I've stayed in Albania for sure. Totally recommend! Thanks again to Shpati , the owner, for his kindness!

“Amazingly quiet village apartment”

A very quiet, spacious, clean apartment with good facilities in a fantastic location with an amazing host who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and at home. Very close to Gjirokastër and a short drive to the supermarket, lots of hiking and sights in the local area. Not forgetting the friendly cat of course. Next time we will come for longer, thanks Shpati for a great experience!

The host was very kind, every day we got something from him ( breakfast, nuts, fruits ). The whole place was amazing and clean and equiped. The view was amazing. Also there are cute cats :D The little village is very beautiful with a lot of hiking opportunities nearby.

“Perfect retreat, super friendly host!”

Vila Antigonea is situated in a mountain village outside of the city center of Gjirokaster, which provides the perfect balance between exploring the city and enjoying rest/nature. The host made us feel very welcome, giving us plenty of delicious food and lots of advice for day trips in the neighbourhood! We would recommend this place to anyone who’s planning on staying in/around Gjirokaster!!

Fantastic location with a nice view of the mountains, especially from outside. Very friendly hosts who brought us homemade local food without us asking and even spoke some english. Apartment was clean and roomy (at least for 2 people) with a relatively well equipped kitchen.

“This place is amazing!”

The host was amazing. He gave us fresh fruits, and we spent a cosy night with him, talking, with some raki and wine he served us. We also fell in love with the cat 🐈 The apartment has everything you need + a washing machine, which is great! It's a big place with a good bed and a television with netflix. The kitchen has 4 cooking plates and an oven. The bathroom is small but comfy with a good shower. The place is close to a horse riding facility where you can do beautiful hikes with the horses. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place near Gjirokaster: this is it!
